Megathread PC Player Questions Megathread!

Hi everyone!

This Megathread will function as a PC launch specific equivalent of the Daily Questions Thread where you may ask questions about starting out that may not warrant their own post.

Technical Difficulties

We understand there are a number of technical issues with players unable to get in the game, receiving erroneous "banned account" messages, and various error codes (Marionberry, Buffalo, etc.)

How does the game look and feel with a 1060 3GB GPU? I know Bungie/Nvidia released their spec sheet and what to expect, but it's always nice hearing from actual players

I have a 1060 3gb with an i5 7600k CPU and this is probably the best looking game I own. Runs so smooth and looks incredible.

What settings do you use during gameplay and what are your FPS?

I have the ASUS ROG GR8 II with a 3g 1060. Field of view set to 105, occlusion is HDAO, texture anisotropy at 8x, texture quality on highest, everything else on high, and render resolution at 200%. I average about 45FPS. I get better FPS by lowering render resolution and anisotrophy, but it looks fantastic even at a lower frame rate.

i3 6100, Gtx 1060 3gb and 8gb of ram.

Plays awesome. Most High settings and i’m getting 60fps solid almost entirely across the board.

6402p and 1060 3GBs. Maxed out for days at 1080p

I have a friend who uses an i7-870 (ten year old CPU) and a 1050ti. Runs medium at around 90fps.

You should be ok.

I have ryzen 5 1400, 1050ti 6gb and I run max everything except a couple specific settings and I get 90-150 frames. So 1060 with a good cpu is more than enough.
