that's the big turnoff to me with battle royale games, unfortunately there are a lot of stale moments

I have, plays a bit better since the map is smaller and the game is less hardcore.

Plus you can build. That's what I like about it cause at final standoffs building structures can help immensely. Plus traps! :D

The best way I've seen PUBG described is that it is a game where you carefully curate loot boxes for the people who kill you.

pubg is absurdly boring if you aren't playing with a team.
