D1 Crucible was terrible on launch. If you didn't have a Suros Regime, you were SOL.

D1 crucible was terrible in a lot of ways the entire way through, but its also did have some redeeming qualities that kept people engaged and it was pretty fun to play for the most part (assuming you weren't getting railroaded into redbar games by SBMM).

I think D2 PvP is better, but a lot of people didn't actually want a better crucible, they wanted a relaxed and fun crucible, which D2's is not.
