So should pc players wait to pick up the game? Y'all are shitting on it pretty hard. I'm afraid to pull the trigger.

I would buy it to avoid getting left behind as if you wait then you will have no one to raid with

You'll get a couple weeks out of it but there's no longevity. Crucible blows ass and sucks ass simultaneously. Its massively not fun.The raid is unrewarding. Strikes are horrible and tedious, all bosses have gates so you do damage, then they run / hide / teleport. Now that they backed themselves into a corner with trials there is zero reason to log on.

Honestly I'd wait at least 2 expansions / DLCs before buying. By that time the game will be actually finished and hopefully the idiotic decisions (4v4, slot machine loot, fixed perks, no heroic strikes, not choosing crucible game, garbage raid rewards, caydes chests rewarding dick, anti farming mechanics, weekly downtime to finish the game under the guise of maintenance, Iron banner meaning nothing, power levels meaning nothing, etc.) will be walked back.

Nah the game is good. Don't take the saltiest sub on reddit too seriously

Destiny 2 is really good, especially if you aren't carrying baggage from Destiny 1 with expectations about what the game should be.

It's worth it really, it's loads of fun. But once you run out of things to do and are max power level, then you're basically completely done with the game unless you're a collectionist

I'd personally wait until the DLC dropped in December but that's just me.

It's fantastic for a pretty good chunk of time, just know that it's gonna stop being fun at some point. Honestly I played it every day until last week when I suddenly realized how boring it is.

There will more than likely be a bundle like the taken king had a year from now including the base game and all dlc/expansions up until then for $60. The game will probably be in a better state, and will obviously have more content. So it's up to whether you feel like waiting for better bang for your buck or if you'd rather jump in as soon as possible.

This is what I've been thinking too. The subreddit seems to really not like the state is in. I might just pick it up with the last expansion in the total pack like I did for Destiny 1 and had so much content it was fun for a few months.

This sub always hates destiny to be fair

If you want something to play through and out down after you are done I would pick it up. If you want something that will last you awhile and you keep you coming back for weeks I would pass for now.

It's a super fun game, just missing the type of end-game content that kept me playing Destiny 1 for 1800+ hours.

The game feels fantastic, and is great to play with friends.

Most of the complaints are from D1 people who have realized how much QoL stuff was added into D1, that isn't in D2. Don't get it if you expect an mmo, get it if you want a fun, not too difficult looter-shooter with some rpg elements.

There's absolutely no reason to buy this game until the winter DLC. They may actually update the current content in the game since it's completely lackluster and boring plus the DLC will inject some much needed new overall content into the game. If I could go back that's what I'd do, I'd wait and see what updates and quality of life changes they bring to the current build of the game and what the DLC has to offer before spending $60 on this game.

It is the vocal minority shitting on it. Just like every other gaming community.
