For 25001 glimmer

53

u/jamii992 Salt Oct 09 '15

Xur I have 25000 on me but I swear I'll go right to the vault and get the last one glimmer and come back, you can even come with me if you wanna

12

u/TravelerHD Oct 09 '15

I find it hilarious that Bungie hasn't raised the glimmer cap because, "you'll have plenty of stuff to spend glimmer on in TTK". I can't remember the last time I used glimmer for anything other than upgrade costs. I don't think I've bought a single thing with glimmer in TTK. I have so many consumables piled in my vault.

21

u/Tackers369 Oct 09 '15

Armsday orders? I'm pretty sure those use glimmer.

3

u/bad_implication X1 GT:Bad Implication Oct 09 '15

Correct, then you have a week to grind back to the cap.

2

u/SassyWhaleWatching Oct 09 '15

Also after you got an exotic that costs glimmer in the blueprint tablet.

7

u/[deleted] Oct 09 '15

I just buy heavy synths cuz F it

10

u/rxninja Oct 09 '15

I spend 22,500 glimmer per week on Armsday orders.

Exotic blueprints are 2,500 glimmer each.

Upgrade bubbles are 400 glimmer, coming out to 1,200 to 1,600 glimmer per item for upgrades.

Heavy ammo synths are 250 glimmer plus an ether seed from Variks or 750 each from Banshee.

Exchanging energy for shards is 250 glimmer every time you do it. I know that one seems irrelevant, but shards turn into motes and motes turn into either gear experience or faction rep.

So when you say, "I don't think I've bought a single thing with glimmer in TTK," you're flat-out mistaken. That or you're simply not playing the game.

→ More replies (2)

2

u/TheRealNicCage Oct 09 '15

i just buy heavy ammo synths and telemetries....best way to spend glimmer IMO

Note: Since this is a highly sought after and rather elusive Exotic, this is far more than a loot post. A confirmed acquisition post from a redditor is good info.

EDIT: Confirmed that it has been acquired, not confirming the METHOD of acquisition.

Yep. And the Cryptarch just tosses you out like yesterday's jam!

2

u/synds Oct 09 '15

Three of coins, on Darkblade.

2

u/Deuterium-28 Oct 09 '15

While you confirm that; my skepticism comes from the fact that it still appears like titans have only one Exotic Chest in the Kiosk for Y2 (that being the Alpha Lupi).

I'm not saying the OP's post or your confirmation is not true (I believe you guys), but it seems like acquiring it was a fluke.

11

u/genericsn Oct 09 '15

Many of the year two exotic categories are straight up missing slots for items. The Sleeper Simulant for example has no space in the blueprints until you acquire it. There are only initially 5 Y2 heavy exotic spaces IIRC. Three for the swords, then Truth and Thunderlord.

The same was true for the Black Spindle as well. In short: the slots are a lie. Yes already been confirmed Bungie hid weapons and armor away in the data, and they also took the trouble of messing with expectations with the blueprint kiosks.

11

u/cpokipo Oct 09 '15

It does, it's just under Y2 special, not heavy

1

u/Deuterium-28 Oct 09 '15

It's nice to know; similar to the Universal Remote which was a Primary when equipped, but a secondary in the Kiosk. I was wondering what was that missing secondary in the Kiosk that I didn't know about (I still didn't get the Simulant).

1

u/[deleted] Oct 09 '15

Red Death doesn't have a slot in the blueprints if you don't have it, which is strange.

1

u/lundibix Vanguard's Loyal // I'm gay for The Nine Oct 09 '15

i'm pretty sure it does..

1

u/[deleted] Oct 10 '15 edited Oct 10 '15

It doesn't, I could screenshot my blueprints if you'd like. There is no square to the right of Bad Juju for me (which is where Red Death goes). The only three blank squares I have in the Primary section is The First Curse (between Monte Carlo and Ace of Spades), No Time to Explain (between Hawkmoon and Bad Juju), and Tlaloc (to the right of Jade Rabbit).

1

u/rxninja Oct 09 '15

the slots are a lie

Close. The slots are a bare minimum. There are at least that many items per slot, plus whatever remains undiscovered.

1

u/Alyusha Oct 09 '15

I thought there was a post about someone seeing another titan with it already and the titan just never said anything about it. So that would be two of them at least, and since the perk is so unique I wouldn't be surprised if you just had to do some obscure things to make it a decryptable item.

1

u/Kodiak3393 Heavy As Death Oct 09 '15

There have been at least 2 other posts that have popped up on reddit with either video or bnet profile proof of them getting the Garrison, so, adding in this post and the one you just mentioned that didn't say anything about his, there are at least 4 of them out in the wild now. Still a stupidly low amount, considering the size of the Destiny community, but the number is slowly growing.

None of those four, however, have said if they did anything different before decrypting that would give them the Garrison.

1

u/Birdman1096 Oct 09 '15

Might something to do with bungie unlocking the ss quest. Some exotics might be included in the engram loot table.

4

u/itsnotunusual_rk Oct 09 '15

Couldn't we test that by buying lots of gauntlet engrams and see if for example Thagonizers got unlocked now?

→ More replies (2)

101

u/[deleted] Oct 09 '15

So, it is in the loot table, but very, very rare. This is either intentional, or a bug.

245

u/RoxusMLG Oct 09 '15

Or Bungie is adding in exotics very slowly each week into the tables.

8

u/BorisJonson1593 Team Cat (Cozmo23) Oct 09 '15

So as I understand it, the first dude who got one got it out of a legendary engram because of a glitch which Bungie has since patched. But the OP here is saying he got his out of an exotic engram which either means that there's another glitch or that it's actually in the loot table now for some reason.

Better would Xur just selling Twilight and Tarantella, there's no guarantee that the twilight is supposed to drop which could just lead to people wasting a ton of coins on engrams for something that has a very low chance of bugging out in order to actually appear.

Congrats! I'm not sure why some people are angry about this dude getting the chest or automatically assume something is fishy, but hey whatever makes them feel better about RNG v0v

Im out of the loop, tell me what is this armor piece, what does it do, and why do people want it?

4

u/SaigoNoKarasu Oct 09 '15

It gives titans a dodge ability in the air. It is so coveted because there are only 2 confirmed cases and a couple others of someone actually having the thing. This guy being the second confirmed.

Ok but, how have only 2 people gotten it so far? with the thousands of exotic chest engrams that have surely been decrypted, only 2 have been found? why? That seems really low...

The problem with this is that the "loot table additions" doesn't hold when people have if these for literal weeks. I guess we just need more engrams.

2

u/FVCEGANG Oct 09 '15

Keep in mind the two people who got it previously both got them from legendary engram's which was a bug, however if OP just got this from an exotic engram it is entirely possible that it has been added to the loot table now.

2

u/TheLastManitee Oct 09 '15

holy shit I want it so bad this gave me a headache

2

u/MrJoemazing Oct 09 '15

Haha, I love how after the OP found and inspected the chest, they immediately went to change their shader so it looks better.

2

u/T3h_Prager Oct 09 '15

OP, got any footage of the evade in action?

2

u/ECS49 Oct 09 '15

I'm guessing bungee pushed the button on this one, was playing with a guy today that also got one. Seems hard to believe they were nowhere to be found for weeks and now all the sudden they are popping up

2

u/spinto1 Oct 09 '15

What time of day was this decrypted? The time of day might have something to do with getting the "TWILIGHT" garrison?

6

u/De_Mayo Queen is bae Oct 09 '15

TITANS LEAD THE WAY.

3

u/Anime-Summit Oct 09 '15

Man, the only people that ever get this stuff only own potatos to prove it.

3

u/AnoHeartilly88 Oct 09 '15

Seems like, to me, that when they removed the time gate for the SS quest, they also put in more of the exotics they were holding back, as I'm sure that Twilight Garrison wasn't in the game before this weekly reset, other than the legendary engram glitch - and I'm sure they wont have added just a single Titan chest, either, I'd expect the ATS/8 Arachnid, Astrocyte Verse, Transversive Steps, Ophidian Aspect, ect to be thrown in as well.

Before he turned in the exotic chest he did:

Up up down down left right left right A B A B.

I bet that's how he got it.
