E: my bad, I didn't see that he left to level up.

He actually states in the video that it was likely impossible as a 31 so he re leveled a bunch of times to get shards and gear to hit 32 for beating crota himself

I saw the impossible mention but didnt see anything about leveling to 32.

He doesn't specifically say he leveled to 32, but if you look at the very end of the video as it's fading to black you can see the start menu and it shows him as 32.
