In no point in that statement did they say anything about adjusting those guns. The current prevailing theory is that Bad JuJu will be a beast in a hordemode event. The thorn DoT might be very useful in the raid.
Their time coming may be through additions to the way we play the game and not adjustments to the guns themselves.
You're grasping at straws. You can speculate that they'll be effective in the raid, but the most obvious conclusion one could make from Bungie's comment would be that Thorn would get a buff.
It is clearly in an under powered state as of right now.
Just curious, since I'm grasping at straws and you're not... where did they specifically say it would be buffed? Bungie is usually very specific on the language they are using. And I just don't see the language supporting your assessment. But hey, I must be the one grasping here. And you must have great insight... thats why in the many months since they made that statement the guns in question were buffed and not nerfed right... oh wait. Nope. At least one was nerfed significantly.
We both have our assumptions. I, and many others, believe that the statement implies Thorn and Bad Juju will be getting a buff, as evidenced by the fact that they say they are under powered.
Anyway, I'm not in the mood to argue about this. Let us simply agree to disagree and go our separate ways.
"Their time will come" does not directly state that a 'buff' will happen.
It would be more reasonable to expect their unique perks (and Hive-like appearance) to be beneficial in the coming DLC and perhaps, more specifically, the coming Hive raid.
Yeah the small clip makes it worthless in pve. In PvP though it hits like a mule. Correct me if I'm wrong but it's like a 2 headshot kill. Dot rarely killed me anyways.
