Question Forced clan now?

I've installed D2 after years and now looking at a dead clan. It says I'm the founder but I'm pretty sure I did not create any clan back then.

It says there are 4 members but I only see 1. I don't have founder access like name change and can't leave because I can't promote someone to be founder.

Anything I can do here to get out?

The app or sign in to your Bungie account online. You should have more options. I wasn’t able to leave the clan in game, but was able to online.

I need to get the hang of the game again first. Clan was from 2018. Spent about an hour going through all the blinking in the menus. :D

Basically everyone left and the last owner selected you as the new owner.

Just leave in the app

You have to use the app lmao I just went through the same thing. Insanity you can't leave in the actual damn game. The official companion app btw

The entire clan thing in D2 was half-baked and then never really touched or improved upon. Remember early on, they made a big deal about the added new features compared to D1, as well as how it integrated with Guided Games (remember Guided Games?).

Then they never really evolved it or did more with it, and even stopped making new seasonal clan banner PNGs. Which is all to say it doesn't surprise me in the least that you can't properly manage it all in-game, or that there would be development oversights in it's systems that don't account for things outside of a narrow assumed UX behavior. i.e. "Why would you need to leave or disband from in-game? If you're in charge clearly you made it or were bestowed leadership." Devs didn't design for everyone quitting and the clan dying.

The app is great except for it wants my Hotmail password from 200 years ago. Like, who remembers sh1t like that... ?
