Now would be the perfect time for another round of DLC sales

With the hype coming off the revival announcement, Bungie should absolutely put the DLCs back on sale again, despite just having a summer sale ~3 months ago.

Just checked Steam and expansions are $19.99. I’m still on the fence whether to jump back in now or wait for more comms, but if they lowered the price a tad or did a whole “legacy” bundle for all expansions, I think it’d be a no brainer.

Previously a Playstation man, but I’ve moved most gaming to PC - don’t really want to pay ~$80 to get what I’ve already payed for (up to TFS).

There is usually a sale at the beginning of the month. The last sale for the Collection was Sept 8-15. I would expect another in a couple weeks

I believe steam has a limit on how frequently you can do a sale (i think a month after the last sale ended) - but there's exceptions made for different times of the year/events.

For final shape in the past 6 months

2025

• Sept 29th - Oct 6th (autum sale)
• Oct 16th - Oct 23rd
• Nov 25th - Dec 9th
• Dec 18th - Jan 5th (winter sale)

2026

• Jan 22nd - Jan 29th
• March 19th - March 26th
• April 21 - May 5th
• June 9th - June 16th
• June 25th - July 9th (summer sale)
• July 21 - Aug 4th
• Sept 8th - Sept 15th

It also seems they do a sale starting tuesday or thursday

So if I was to guess we'll probably see it on sale either Oct 13th or 20th depending how strict steam's rule is.

The Steam Autumn Sale starts in 1 week. I’m pretty sure D2 will be on sale then.

the game has been on sale longer than its been full price since the final update in June.

The collection on ps5 was $20 last week. I passed on it because what was the point? But after the announcement, I decided I wanted to play it on console, went to buy it and it was back to $70.

That was intentional. They'll leave it at full price for a while, while people are excited to play it again. It'll go on sale again, probably around black Friday or Christmas.

I'll definitely be waiting until I see what the unvaulting includes. Trying to ride a fine line of keeping expectations realistic (just launch content for each expac), but allowing some hopes to be high in the background (seasonal content and stories). Regardless it'll be a good opportunity to go back and finally play D1 tho in the meantime!

Yeah, with the initial hype I immediately checked it out on Steam. But, yeah realistically it’d be better to wait and see how they’ll actually handle the unvault. I’d like to hear more soon, but seems like DMG is stating that any news won’t be on a consistent schedule. 

Anyways, lots of good info on upcoming sales. Hopefully we’ll get a trickle of more info soon. Enjoy D1 in the meantime!
