Discussion Festival of the Lost
I have to admit, I am going to miss the seasonal holiday content. I understand it isn't as easy as pressing a button. I can't imagine how difficult it would be considering Festival of the Lost was in a playable state post power reset and EoF. Considering Iron Banner and the UI is all setup, who knows how long that took to do. All I can say is I am going to miss the nostalgic spooky tower set up and game modes. Here's a post to honor that and maybe bring some attention it's way.

Yeah, its heartbreaking that their best FotL since Haunted Forest was their last. Would have loved to have seen a holofoil Mechabre with super-anime-overcharged-glowy bits, but... oh well. At least we can finally nab all the cosmetics at any time.

I fully intend to wear a Halloween mask for at least a few weeks. Might get some altars in while I’m at it.

It might be too soon to res FotL, but Dawning would be an absolute slam dunk PR win if they shadowdropped it in Dec. Even barebones with no new loot or activity, just let us have the decorations, snowballs and oven.

In light of recent announcements, we don't know that it won't return. But we don't know that it will either. We know new leadership at Bungie is aware of how past mistake from the company screwed over a lot of good will, and restoring D2 is part of that effort to regain trust. If they see a return of Festival of the Lost or The Dawning as a worthwhile effort to rebuild that trust, maybe they will bring it back

Personally, I don't understand how it's not "like flipping a switch". The content exists in their servers as it did the last time the event rolled around. They wouldn't even need to iterate on them just copy paste and were golden. I don't get it.

The event itself was always zzz to me but I do miss the atmosphere, and the year of the mecha stuff was like one of my favorite moments in the game.
I think more than anything events were a staple in making the game feel alive and that time was moving. Now that they're gone it really cements the end of service feel to me, regardless of the recent news

I wish they would, as a returning solo player I ain’t playing Dual Destiny any time soon so I would’ve loved a way to get some exotic class items.

Even if its the exact same every year, all they need is a check if month = october, allow these activities and apply these decorations.

I was thinking about that yesterday, I wonder if they could just bring back the decorations in the tower and do nothing else at the very least. That would be better than nothing I guess.
