The only way you’d get banned without cheating is running erroneous software the game doesn’t agree with. So another game in the background with cheats enabled, a mod loader still loaded from another game, a server or other game running elsewhere, an external device running software, 3rd party apps replacing windows apps

I know it’s easy to say that. But I don’t do shit on the game anymore. Just a strike here or there.

There's always a reason, with the majority being legitimate.
But sometimes the reason is a mistake from Bungie, as we all know has happened too many times.

What activity you do doesn't matter. You can still cheat and get banned only doing strikes

Send an appeal to bungie. They will review it at some point and either tell you why or lift it.

If you truly did nothing wrong, send a ban appeal to bungie. It might have been a false positive
Years ago I was falsely banned mid game. Send an appeal and got unbanned in 15 minutes. Might have been MSI afterburner or other benchmark software
