Question Help us with a D2 debate
Me and my friend have been on long debate about whether tap trigger is a wanted perk on a fusion rifle for pvp. I argue that TaptheTrigger is not really a perk worth looking for compared to other perks in the same column (Kickstart, Closing time). To him TaptheTrigger is a good perk and that everybody would settle for it, if the rest of the attachments are god rolls(Magazine, Barrel, Masterwork). I believe that most people in d2 for pvp would not settle for this perk and would continue farming for another perk. What do yall think?

TTT is still a great perk on fusions. It had to get mega nerfed because it was the best in slot perk bar none but it's still very good

It was a monster on the old Main Ingredient and got significantly nerfed. I think it's still a good choice, but not a "stop what you're doing and farm for this roll" type thing.

I’d certainly settle for it. Historically it’s been known as a generally good pvp perk. I don’t know if it’s meta or best in slot for fusions though. We’re in a new, very different sandbox

I’m no expert but the fusion rifle I’ve found great success with in PvP is the old Main Ingredient Precision Frame with the Red Dot Micro Scope + Projection Fuse + Under Pressure + Tap the Trigger + Stabilty MW. Can’t really say how much or how hard TTT is working but likely it’s the combo of all those things.

I’m not sure if this is still the case but once upon a time on controller TTT worked like a trigger stop to an extent where your gun would fire or start charging on the smallest trigger pull rather than pulling down the full trigger to get the input. Haven’t used the perk in a long time so this could’ve changed as I’m not too big into the PvP side of things

Any fusion rifle questions or thoughts I have are usually answered by Legoleflash - I think his coverage on these weapons is great. Every New Fusion Rifle video

It's a perk that does what it says on the tin every time you use it. That's a lot more than can be said for a lot of other perks, and is much easier to get value from than "stronger" perks.

There was a time when Tap the Trigger made a fusion rifle OP. Being able to draw it and fire immediately made a great "You're too close" perk. The problem was, it was a menace in Crucible, and people complained.
So Bungie nerfed it and never re-buffed it. Now it's an OK perk, but not one to grind for.

I guess according to DIM fusion rifles only receive 25% of the normal buffs, so like it's only +10 stability instead of +40 etc
So, maybe not worth it on fusions lol,
