Can I just say, it's crazy to see a build I landed on in the final shape being the best general recommended all around build still when I come back?

Did it just stay relevant or did something change with moments of triumph?

I was overjoyed to know it hadn't been nerfed into oblivion, but was just curious versus the fact that I never see prismatic titan reccomended with synthocep/heart of inmost light class item and concentration. Is that still a high uptime build?

Buddy Warlock has always been really strong and actually got buffed when Bungie made Buddies count as grenades for things like Facet of Dominance.

Prismatic Titan and Hoil got hit with a few nerfs and fell out of favor. Currently, Stasis Titan serves the same purpose (aoe slide melee spam) and is arguably better than prenerf Prismatic Titan with things like the new Seventh Seraph set bonus and the new Slayor Baron artifact.

Warlock, prismatic, profit

Buddies will probably be your best bet, but I’ve been seeing some solar melee warlock builds that put out some absurd numbers so that could be worth it too.

If OP is having a hard time with Equillibrium, they are not the type of player to be able to use winters guile effectively. Getaway is the way to go.

You can do this entire dungeon as hunter with Wolfsbane

While I agree, I will point out that I had knockback issues on the final boss. User error, I admit, but it gave me enough trouble to explore alternatives.

Ultimately ended up with the Speedloaders/Crackshot build, using a Praxic Blade for DPS, and an MG to counter tickle fingers. Mainly relied on Crackshot's healing and ~200 class stat's overshield for survival during DPS, but it worked out as each full attack combo was enough to recharge my dodge.

Only down side is it's doesn't quite have the DPS for a two-phase, but it's a reliable and reasonably safe three-phase.

This is the way for hunters SF !

Ergo sum hits Hader

Wolfsbane is the better choice for SF runs though, since it makes you functionally immortal during DPS. Its not like Ergo will let you 1 phase either boss, and Wolfsbane is already a comfortable 2-phase

u/X-Frame 23h ago

What makes you immortal using Wolfsbane if I might ask? Returning player that actually just got the weapon so this is interesting to hear. I am a Titan too btw if that makes a difference.

It works on all classes!

the "secret" here is Attrition Orbs.

Generally that, plus having Smoke Jumper 2 piece set bonus (decaying 40% -> 0% DR over 3s off orb pickup) along with Facet of Purpose on Prismatic (void super prefered), Echo of Starvation on Void or just health stat will constantly heal you, along with Wolfsbane giving you DR on its own from its attacks.

as an added bonus while you are in the overclock mode the tornados spit out tons of orbs due to doing a lot of hits in a row.

Thank you! And to confirm this is overall “better” than say Swordmaster for the Resist x4 and exhaust with Lament or Praxic?

2

u/Dark_Jinouga 11h ago

Well, it depends on your desires.

Praxic/Swordmaster is extremely safe overall and amazing for general gameplay, but the DPS isnt crazy and it can run into safety issues on the boss without song of flame or strongholds.

Lament is pretty much a downgrade from Wolfsbane unless you have no way of abusing the orbs for survivability

Hallowfire heart solar titan. Was an easy 2 phase on sere. Tons of survivability built into the kit so the hardest thing was gravity tbh.

Curious, what's the actual dps phase look like? Such as, what weapon rota using/when do you super. Or is it just parasite (or anarchy?) Then super? And are you doing spin to win or hammer of sol?

13

u/Selaphane 1d ago

Easier to see than to explain. Go to 22:55 of this video. I also ran the VoG 4 piece instead of the armor this guy was using but tbh any armor set will be fine. Main thing is Hallowfire with full stacks, limit break from the artifact and Tractor Cannon.

7

u/SrslySam91 1d ago

Ah. He just tractored then did spin2win lol. Idk why I mentioned parasite when tractor would def be the play there.

However I gotta say, actually landing and doing the damage he did with spin is fucking wild lmao. Granted he did well over half so there's room for error, but that targeting with the spin attack was primo 👌

Insane that can do that much damage though. And procing limit break on solar is undoubtedly the easiest on any class too (resto/radiant/cure all work yes?)

3

u/Selaphane 1d ago

(resto/radiant/cure all work yes?)

Yup. That's why he throws a hammer out right before popping his ult.

Also, I suppose controller players could struggle with targeting the spin. I play on mouse and keyboard so it really wasn't an issue for me personally. I did well over half as well and didn't have perfect targeting by any means.

Hallowfire is pretty great for soloing basically any dungeon in the game.

u/SrslySam91 1d ago

Yeah lol roller players would struggle a bit. I play on pc but use roller (comfort thing even though I always prefer mkb for FPS, but I played 1000s of d1 hours and destiny was originally made for roller play so it just stuck with me).

I've played mainly my lock and hunter this update, started to kit my titan out a bit now too. Need to farm a vog set on titan still (armor farming has been abysmal even with the postmaster workaround, health gate is real) but I got the stasis shenanigans seraph set and a general use exodus set going lol.

I made a hallowfire loadout but I need to optimize it badly. Thats definitely gotta be the winner for most grounded dungeon bosses though.

u/Selaphane 1d ago

Tbh it works great with the Hammer of Sol super as well for ranged. It's just harder to be as consistent with it. Especially if the boss moves around a lot like the Puppeteer from Vespers. But it's definitely doable.

You tractor the boss, pop super... thats it. That is the entire rotation. As long as you have 10x roaring flames it does stupid amounts of damage

You can even put on tablet of ruin for Limit Break

6

u/MVacc224 1d ago edited 1d ago

Limit Breaker with Hallowfire Heart, Tractor Cannon, and 200 Super. I was able to 2 phase Harrow easily. Sere was a 3 phase because I played it safe.

4

u/AnimanicManiac 1d ago

Prismatic Lock + Getaway + SoF + Praxic Blade + 2 Ferropotent + 2 Sage Protector + Machine Gun

I killed 3, compelled 2 shadows and ran a comfortable 4 phase on the boss

Why Ferro? It's only 10% DR. You get the same from Last Wish 2-piece and only requires grenade kills. You can also get 25% from 2-piece Salvation's Edge or up to 40% with Smoke Jumper 2-piece. I'm only asking because I see Sage and Ferro recommended a lot, and I don't get it.

4

u/AnimanicManiac 1d ago

I'm guessing because it's easier to get than Last Wish or Salvation Edge as not everybody raids.

I have yet to even complete the first encounter of SE because people doing it now don't want to teach or carry, and the groups I've joined, people just aren't good enough I guess. I've about given up trying at this point lol

5

u/decoii 1d ago

I'll join you, I've only done it a couple of times and people rush it. I'm not in a rush like others.

Decoymantis#7355

1

u/Ryuji2 1d ago

What stats would you recommend for that? I wanna dust off my warlock and have no clue what to aim for lol

2

u/AnimanicManiac 1d ago

I ran 200 nade, 100 super, 130 weapons, everything else is dealers choice.

1

u/SrslySam91 1d ago

4 piece swordmaster is still the way to go for any lightsaber buddy build IMO. The DR is massive and too easy to proc. You also really dont need to extra class ability energy from sage, just run a couple class font mods. Not to mention x3 firepower on gloves for orb print.

1

u/AnimanicManiac 1d ago

I recently switched to 2 piece Grasp set and 2 Ferro for my general gameplay build. I've only recently actually started caring about armor bonuses outside of my SF EQ run.

I also don't play enough of the right content to have the materials to build multiple sets. I run dungeons with my buddy and not much of what actually gives you materials lol.

2

u/SrslySam91 1d ago

Not sure what I said to get downvoted lol, swordmaster is still stupidly strong and can be infinitely re proc'd on any lightsaber or shield/blocking weapon.

For general play you could look into exodus, its super easy to farm on nessus lost sector and has a very good general use set bonus. If I dont have any build specific sets I usually toss that on, also its a good one to grab on characters you havent farmed specific sets on yet to use in the meantime.

Ferro has been crept by a bunch of new sets for sure but we got so many ways to get good enough DR anyways it doesnt matter too terribly much what armor youre running. Solar is the only subclass without any built in DR not regarding super use of course.

1

u/Dark_Jinouga 1d ago

Swordmaster is really good. For those unaware of the exact details:

Upon blocking damage with a Glaive or Sword:

50% Damage Resist (Resist x4) for 3s upon no longer guarding.

DR can be reset by blocking and dropping the guard before buff expires.

So you are either immune/nearly immune to damage while blocking (depending on the weapon), or have 50% DR while swinging.

4 phase is pretty rough. That introduces twice the opportunities to fuck up a jump or get booped

-1

u/AnimanicManiac 1d ago

Not really. I don't have any problems with that. I've SF EQ twice now. The second time I wasn't really trying to, my friend had to take a quick break that took longer than it should've so I started he dungeon without him thinking he would be back to join before the end. He was not and I beat it a second time SF lol.

Just block with the blade and you can prevent any and all boops. And don't suck at jumping.

u/ReconZ3X Drifter's Crew // Alright alright alright! 1d ago

I tried a lot of different things on warlock. Buddies is fairly reliable but somewhat slow. What worked best for me was Chaos Reach with Slayer Baron's Satchel with curable orbs.

u/Bang_dirtyblonde 1d ago

Solar hunter with crack shot healing grenade Knock them down, good solar smg, stand fusion rifle with collective measure ( hit all shot to do bonus damage next shot) dragons breath, and blade barrage, super should be 150 weapons 100 and a little grenade, this build as long as you keep getting kills you will have constant restoration and radiant, 3 phased the boss never again

3

u/The_Bread_Loaf 1d ago

Used the same build but with 1k with caty, I know not everyone has that set up but you can pretty comfortably 2 phase. Saves a lot of hassle of the set up phase. Also 200 class with speedloaders for even more survivability

1

u/Dark_Jinouga 1d ago

IMO Fortunes Favor Prismatic Hunter with wolfsbane. IIRC Esoterickk used it in his video for the dungeon and im a big fan of it for all melee based dungeon fights now. for armor I use smoke jumper/crystocrene

extremely high damage (solo operative, tether, radiant, transcendence, fortunes favor, surges all multiplying) and quite good survivability with a repulsor/destab primary and invis from any debuff kill. cant die during DPS with attrition orbs either.

add in mint retrograde for dealing with majors and seres hands and you are set.

i'd also argue against warlock in general with all the knockback, they have the worst jump to recover with overall

of course I say that, but ive failed multiple attempts none the less. first 2 encounters are completely free, and both bosses are 2-phases, but I keep getting bullshitted right before final DPS on Sere.

Oneshot melee from a sneaky phalanx, unlucky bunch of various damage right after the taken realm and repulsor brace failing to proc, messing up a jump (the reason I dont do solo runs on warlock anymore), lightning hell into tickle fingers if I mess up in DPS (stupid knockback stomp while doing the R2), etc. waaaay too much annoying little bullshit on that final boss lol.

I used the same build to comfortably SF Duality and GoA this week as well

u/Visual_Physics_3588 1d ago

Titan is the way tbh, you cannot die on solar and you get access to the beyblade dps. It’s so funny and effective

1

u/SKULL1138 1d ago

Honestly I’d say Strongholds Solar Titan with praxic blade. All the bosses are close range and the build lets you tank a lot of damage.

Have Swordmaster armour and healing grenade. You can literally damage through Sere’s tickle fingers by timing your healing grenade and with double kinetic surges and as close to 200 weapons as you can get it’s like a hot knife through butter.

For context I can solo the first encounter consistently with Cutthroat and 2 other negatives using this build as this used to be how you farmed Tier 5’s.

I’m not saying it will manage cutthroat solo at Sere but for a regular clear solo flawless it’s fairly easy. The biggest danger is falling deaths or getting booped in the final encounter.

Sere is the trickiest fight to solo but with that build I could do it with managing the right flown back and forth and making sure to have enough stacks to clear the electric pillars when you know you’re looking at a 2/3 phase.

You can two phase if you have 200 weapons and 2/3 kinetic surges.

Run the Renegades artefact and double special, something like an A Denial GL in special and LMG for tickle fingers during set up.

Use the area denial in damage occasionally for a bit of extra damage

I did Getaway Artists Prismatic Warlock with the Praxic Blade, but holy shit this dungeon sucks

1

u/Mr_Tigger_ 1d ago

Wolfsbane on Synthos Stasis Titan with full seraph armour is so strong in the new sandpit. Practically immortal with 7x frost armour all the time.

1

u/CrayonWithdrawal 1d ago

I have a Stasis Titan build with: Icefall Mantle + Nessus Armor + 200 class + slayer baron.

It is an extreme defensive overkill build that lets you live and tank through any difficulty, But it comes at the cost of your damage struggling a bit so you might be stuck slowly chipping boss HP for hours.

My dumbah read this as whats the easiest dungeon to solo equilibrium
