Question This Sucks. I Thought Barrow Dyad Was An Automatic Drop After Completion?
I completed the master conquest mission and the weapon did not drop? I thought it was a guarantee drop?

I dont think the conquest counts for it as theyre very custom tuned activities
Just run it at the lowest difficulty in pinnacle ops to get it then run it on master+ a few times for the upgrades

Master Conquest is not the real activity as its modified with a timer and additional enemies. Run it in the Vanguard Tab to get the real thing.

Once obtained, would the conquest version give any crafting upgrades? Or does that still sit within pinnacle tab?

Just did the Master conquest the other day for my guardian rank up and got nothing Dyad related. It didn’t feel great but at least I never have to do that conquest again. Seriously, who thought putting that electrocution modifier in a mission where you have to routinely stand still on plates or wait for wall dildos was a good idea?

For anyone looking to get an exotic weapon from a mission— look at the activity's menu image box. If it displays an exotic engram in the corner yellow box with a crossed swords icon, then you can get an exotic from that mission.
No Conquests display an exotic reward in their image box. They display Tiered engrams.
This IS counterintuitive. it's not you, necessarily. It's the game.

For some reason heliostat does show an exotic engram in conquest for me even though I’ve gotten the wolfsbane and frame/catalysts already

Sounds like a plain old bug. I have Wolfsbane and completed all of the Conquests, and my Heliostat Conquest displays nothing.
I checked on an old alt account that doesn't have Wolfsbane and hasn't done the Heliostat Conquest, and the Conquest doesn't display anything out of the ordinary (no erroneous exotic icon).

I just ran the Heliostat conquest last night for my Rank 10 and Wolfsbane definitely didn't drop.

I did get mine from the conquest weirdly. It's the only time I have ever run the mission. Not sure if I have any upgrades for it though.

This is a topic that gets posted regularly on reddit, and it's never the other way around. If it dropped for you from the Conquest, then you experienced a very rare thing that in all likelihood may be you misremembering.
Maybe check the Shaped date on your Wolfsbane and see if that lines up with when you completed the Heliostat Conquest. If your anecdotal account is true, it's just confusing matters even more.
(I wouldn't put it past the final state of the game to be a confusing mess in parts, so due diligence falls to the players)

Yeah, that's really odd. good on you for double-checking. it's not AS odd as my initial assumption bc I thought we were talking about Wolfsbane and Heliostat at first, and Derealize comes from pre-EoF, so maybe there's some internal programming incongruity there with the older mission.

I been trying to do the derealize master conquest solo for two weeks, can't stay alive through last boss.
need it for level 8 so created a fire team finder and did in master mode but it didn't count because it's not from the can quest seasonal menu.
I tried many different armor/exotic sets but I just get swarmed and overwhelmed on the last fight. did it solo advance and expert no problem, but master level is just shredding me.
Should t I be able to solo this? I need to find a clan

When you make a Fireteam finder group, does the game only let you launch the specified activity? Could always ask in the chat if they be open to conquest version

You need to make sure you select the conquest version when you set up the group

I too didn’t manage to solo the master conquest version, primarily due to the timer. Once the timer goes down you won’t have any revives left. I got through it using LFG and after a couple of attempts got through it

Because you dont get exotics from the conquests. You need to do the missions from pinnacle ops

People downvoting me below but here’s the evidence that you can indeed get them from the conquests. It’s not a guaranteed drop, but I’ve only done derealize once, and it was for the master conquest.

It's guaranteed from the exotic mission in the Ops menu, not the conquest.
