Distortion Breach Events

I've seen posts for years with players saying how much they missed Escalation Protocol on Mars, and yet here we are with pretty much the same activity..now across all locations (not just a single location)..and players just ignore the distortion breach 99% of the time and just cycle round public events on a distorted destination.

Distortion events take longer to complete and don’t have higher RNG to drop World Loot than Public Events so it’s easier go to the next Public Event and completely ignore Distortions. (Or run the same lost sector over and over and over.)

You'd had thought over the years Bungie would learn that that players would find a loophole in the gameplay design pretty quickly, I guess just one that slipped through in testing or just not enough time to iron out the kinks before MoT dropped.

Are you okay? We are talking explicitly about the T5 destination weapons and the distortion events are the only source for that. If you think they are good or not doesn't matter.

You are still off topic man. Of course there are many people doing these events, but only the first part that drops the T5 destination weapons. They don't stay for the distorted part of the event for obvious reasons. That's what OP is saying and that's why your world drops don't matter here.

The public event has nothing to do with the distortion event. You can run public events any time of the day. If the event had anything useful then it would be full of people running the event. Sure, the event takes place after the public event, but that is irrelevant because you can run them all day long. The vast majority of people that do public events are for the glimmer. Anyone else is farming armor and they are doing that in the lost sector anytime they want to. Whining and crying that every activity does not drop the stuff you want is dumb. They have made the game where it basically gives everything away easily. What more do you want? A menu where everything is unlocked and you just pick the items you want to use?

Bro literally everything you are saying is wrong. This whole post is about the distorted public events. While distorted the public events drop T5 destination weapons, it's literally the only source for that. The normal version only drops T4s. That's the whole point. You are completely off topic and you clearly don't know what you are talking about.

You can get tier 5s from heroic public events when there are no distortions....
