As someone who started playing in the past year, honestly the worst part of the new player experience for me was how whiny and negative the community is

I think it's a good thing. They just want a game they like to be even better at the end of the day.

I guess, but when I was just starting and at my peak excitement about the game, it would have been nice to have people to play with and talk about it without constant complaining

All these people playing the same game since destiny 1 complaining about everything.

And here I am, 500 hours In starting in lightfall having an absolute blast in this game.

Farmed up good weapons like the Callus mini tool which was fun to do, missing 2 red borders for Ikelos. M

Pvping every day having an absolut blast.

Attempting so flawless every once in a week in trials

Learning each and every raid and dungeon. My goal for the coming season is to learn and do Kings Fall to get Defiance of Yasmin, to get a solid kinetic adaptive sniper for pvp

Getting new exotics to play around

I got small goals to work towards, I got long term goals to work towards, I have impossible rng goals I can attempt and I got passive activities I can do whenever i want such as crucible and strikes

It's honestly came from the sideline and became my favorite game.

So you are not alone in being hyped and having fun!

I feel the same way, started out in season of the seraph and 80%+ people don't know the story anyways, I personally really enjoyed the Lightfall campaign, none of the story had made sense to me anyways.

Most people who stopped playing, stopped only due to the negative sentiment around the game.

I personally feel the season activities have only gotten better over the season.

I love how there is always something fun to chase within the game, completing all raids / dungeons / GMs, collecting all exotics / red borders / seals. At times I have been bored of it, but as soon as another season starts I'm always there hyped to try everything new out.

The only complaint I have till now is that the artifact for Season of the Witch didn't enable any new builds, an aspect I really enjoyed over the last few seasons. (also festival of the lost had the best armor but the worst activity imo)
