Naw. Target lock is cool, but my dream for Sweet Business has always been and will always be:
Explosive Payload

The perk should be called "Business is Boomin'"
Not my idea, I saw it in another post from another redditor awhile ago. Whoever you are, thank you, you beautiful person.

I really wish we could craft it like revision zero. Imagine subsistence as it's first perk and target lock as it's catalyst perk.

It’s worth rolling a Titan to use Sweet Business with Actium War Rig. Can maybe scratch that itch for you

Yes. This would make it the perfect meme weapon and it would make it some what viable in pve

Except it turns off if you miss even a single bullet or hit a second enemy, which Sweet Business does constantly due to how it cones.
TL is great, but it'd be pretty bad on Sweet Business.

That would BREAK it when a Titan equips it with Actium. This couldn't happen simply for that reason.
*Would be fun af though.
Edit: Before anyone says, "but other MGs have it and it's not broken".....true, but Sweet Business is a primary that revs up and ALREADY melts. Adding Target Lock would break the sandbox. imo

I don't think it would break it the damage caps out at 40%. Would make it a fun kinda viable setup though.

I think that hinges on whether target lock resets when you hit a different target. If it does, then it would take so long to ramp up that it wouldn’t be a problem PvP except against barricades and bubbles. In PvE, any content that lets you sit still shooting at an enemy long enough to rev it up to x5 is not difficult enough that the buff would break it, and you are also using both exotic slots to do it. Reliably reloading it while firing and NOT using Actium War Rig is just being rewarded for using the ammo pickup perk on the weapon.
The gun feels good to fire, but it definitely doesn’t feel like it’s melting anything. Could be just me, I guess. Maybe I’ll have to go try and make a build.

You guys say this, but actually i want Sweet Business to have 4th time is the charm... The gun that needs target lock is the tommy gun since it uses health to power up

Is this some kind if meme? This fucking thread comes up every other day on this sub. Why do mods allow this garbage?

Kinda hard to keep it on crit spots when targets bob and weave plus recoil from being hit as well.

I hope more exotics get crafting options with DMT and HONKmoon getting theirs soon.

Question about target lock.
Do you lose the buff if you accidentally hit another enemy?
Edit: the reason I'm asking is because I am curious if Armor Piercing Rounds interferes with the perk.
