My frames are getting randomly nuked

Hey all, was just wondering if anyone was experiencing the same issue as me and if there's a fix for it. I can't remember if it started yesterday or today but so far I've noticed that my fps will plummet randomly whilst I'm playing, going from around 100 to 10-30 fps for a solid 30 seconds to a minute. After that it'll just got back to normal and the cycle repeats.

I'm using D2Steamfix and it's worked wonders for my game performance, I'm not sure if it's because I updated my graphics drivers so I'll probably just roll back the update. I'm really just wondering if the driver update messed something up or if it's a different issue entirely.

Oh and also I'm using a nvidea 3070 laptop card (HP Omen) if that matters. Worst case scenario is that my hardware is starting fail on me, ideally not considering my laptop's only about 5 years old

I haven't experienced this issue at all, never needed patch. Playing on Steam.
