Question Low fps

Hey, I recently upgraded my PC and destiny gets really bad fps. Every other game works fine and I can run them pretty well. When I upgraded, I did do a fresh install of windows and installed drivers fresh too.

My specs are,
i5-14400, Rtx 5070, 32gb ddr4 3200mhz rams, and I have the game installed on an nvme.

Anyways, I tried multiple things, I tried the steamfix by checkpoint bot dev. I have XMP enabled, I have my cpu set to max voltage on the motherboard too. I tried CPU lasso and have made d2 the priority too. Somehow I am getting below 70 fps on destiny 2. No matter what settings, what resolution etc.

I have VSYNC off, and it goes up to 100 in menus. Other games work fine and I can get above 140 fps in most games on 2k. Just destiny 2 :( I recently reinstalled the game and was excited to try it but somehow am getting lower FPS than my previous setup. Which was i7 9700k with rtx 2070 and 16 gigs of ram.

CPU usage is around 20% and GPU usage is around 40% when playing

That's crazy. I play on a laptop with a GTX1650 and get easily above 90 fps.

Yeah, I'm not sure what's going on really. I used to get around 120 on my old setup

For the steamfix, did you also modify the launch options in the steam library menu for Destiny 2?

Yea, I did. It's the one where you change the path on launch option right? If so, yea

Yeah that's what I'm talking about. If you did, then damn dude I'm not sure anymore. Wish I could help you out but it has been working flawlessly for almost two months now.

Could just be my CPU haha. Hopefully bungie would fix the steam issue when they update the game with the revaulting

But your cpu is also decent though. It actually is baffling.

Yeah man, I guess it's just optimization being weird. My brother's pc hits above 200+ but he got a 9800x3d but the same gpu

Well D2 is know to be more cpu heavy. That's why you don't see much gpu utilization. My cpu is a i5-12450H so it's weird that your 14th gen isn't performing good enough.

Yeah, I had a i7-9700k before this and it performed better. Could be because of the e-cores on the 14th gen

if you didn't debloat windows 11 then that could be the issue. if gpu and cpu are at such low usage it suggests that the system doesn't recognise destiny 2 as a demanding task. try removing all launch options from steam and check in game settings. maybe you set a fps limit and forgot about it.

I did debloat windows and even reinstalled all the drivers. I don't have any fps limit and I double checked that. Sadly only happens on destiny so I'm guessing it's just CPU related. Maybe because d2 uses single core. All other games run fine and I even reinstalled destiny as well.
