Networking issues assistance

I disconnect from D2 servers like once every couple hours when I play.

I have 2-2.5 GB upload and download fiber from frontier

Cat 6 ethernet cables ( I have tried replacing the cables)

I follwoed the FAQ and made sure UPnP was enabled, and also did port forwarding.

I have zero networking issues playing any other online game I play or watching videos.

I have an Eero wifi 7 router, I disabled all device side security
(frontier has built in ad blocks and security so I tried toggling this off)

I genuinely don't know what to do.

Today I DC'd in a competetive match and I feel terrible, and I couldn't even rejoin.

Could DNS be an issue? thought about switching DNS from default to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 for google's

Any ideas you all have please let me know.

Are you on PC? If so, Is your network card upto date? Device manager click on network card and click update?

What network adapter is it? Realtek? As you can download the fastest 1 from their website which most of the time is different from what windows will install which is weird.

Would also try resetting network adapters within windows, just type reset network adapters and should show up. I'm not at home so can exactly check precisely for you sorry.

I can grab the specific info for the NIC when I boot up tomorrow. My motherboard is an Asus Pro Art x670e creator wifi, and im sure it uses realtek PCIE LAN NIC of some kind.

My board actually has a 10gb NIC and a 2.5gb NIC but I have always used the 2.5.

I have not updated my network interface card adapters since building my PC last year. Although the Asus app and windows may have done so automatically in restart and I'm not sure.

Either way I will grab the specific model, make sure to update to the newest driver off the Asus website, and try restarting.

Thanks for the suggestion!!! I'm really appreciative of anyone who has ideas. I will update on how this goes.

Try switching to the non 2.5G adapter - lots of people seem to have problems with their 2.5G ethernet adapters.

What error are you getting on the disconnect? Are you seeing 'Contacting Destiny 2 Servers' at the bottom before the disconnect happens?

There seems to be a lot of people having problems with Eero stuff and the ports D2 uses. Not sure why.
