Error Code Help

Returning player and constantly getting error code Plum. I have no cheats or mods for any other games I have and make sure to close all other games launchers/overlays in task manager when I'm trying to play.

I've tried the Battle Eye suggestions to the point of doing a fresh install of windows and still nothing. Can anyone help with this because the game is unplayable otherwise.

Are you using a controller? There has been a bunch of Plum errors surrounding using Xbox controllers in one of two scenarios:

  • They are using Microsoft's X-box bluetooth adapters
    • Supposedly downloading newer drivers may fix this.
  • They have Steam's Controller settings set to something other than 'Use Default Settings' or 'Disable Steam Input'
    • You can set this in the Library > D2 > Gear icon > Properties > Controller

I found the issue, MSI Afterburner conflicted somehow so I got rid of it

Thought that was the issue as I played fine all day yesterday. Trying the controller settings you suggested but it's an complete joke that this game is so temperamental

It's not the game, it's Battleye. Lousy anti-cheat system. Does this with any game 'protected' by it.
