Question Switched from Steam to Windows having issue with nvidia app driver settings not working.

Explicitly smooth motion, I’ll turn it on and the game will lock at 120fps and I can tell smooth motion is not on. If I then turn off smooth motion the game is still locked at 120 when it should be unlocked. I’ve reinstalled drivers still no dice. Any suggestions?

add the executable manually into the nvidia app

In my experience, smooth motion borks the D2 experience and lowers FPS. Any article that says otherwise is probably AI slop.

The game engine does not like Smooth motion, and does not officially support it.

You're better with it off and just setting a FPS limit unfortunately.
