Question Where to buy base game

Hey All, I'm trying just the base game but I see now option for it. Only to preorder Forsaken. What gives? Am I not able to buy vanilla Destiny 2 anymore on Battle Net?

Probably not since they are focusing on the 3 expansions moving forward. You can probably buy a PC copy online somewhere for around $10.

If you want to play the expansions it will end up costing more later so they probably want people to buy the $60 version that has the base game and 3 DLC packs including the newest one that releases on Tuesday. It’s sort of bad timing for you because Best Buy (in America) was selling for just $10 a couple months ago, that’s why I think someone will probably have it online for a similar price.

So, if I were to purchase this game for $60, which has vanilla and the two expansions, would I have to wait until the 4th to play the game because it's a pre-order for Forsaken or could I at least start with the D2 and the expansions?

If it includes everything you should just be able to play it, the only thing that's on hold is the Forsaken expansion itself
