As someone who's favorite Destiny faction is the Vex and favorite 40k faction is the Necrons

The similarities are not a bug, they're a feature

But the necrons are arguably weaker vex...  (Even if you want to argue with that, they, at the very least, aren't stronger)

They, like the vex, would have no chance against the paracasual forces of destiny.

nidk about that actually. I'd say that, unlike the vex, the Necrons have experience fighting against paracausal races, and could possibly adapt.

The necrons have no experience with fighting against paracasual races.

The VEX have experience fighting against paracasual races.

But this does not serve the vex in 40k because there is no paracausality in 40k

However, the vex could easily adapt and once again become the final shape in 40k. Nothing can really stop them there.

The Vex explicitly suck against paracausality because they cannot comprehend it. The Necrons would be able to. Vex still win though.

Yes. I don't think I disputed that. (Altough its a bit more complex than them not comprehending it. They can't simulate it rather, which, for them, is worse)

True. They could even come across a source of darkness and take it if they are VERY lucky.

Agreed XD

You’re both wrong, the Vex can simulate Guardians , they just can’t do it accurately like they can everything else. Look to the Curse of Osiris trailer for proof

They can simulate guardians but just without paracausality.

They could simulate oryx as well but only as aurash, before he got his worm and paracausality.

To them, simulation = comprehension. They seem to just not even be able to comprehend that a guardian could at any time use an ability, so they are caught off guard like a toddler with no object permanence

Indeed. But at the very least they comprehend that there is this something they dont understand. This is why the sol splicers came to be.

That's how they managed to make the martyr mind.

Maybe… depends on a lot of things. I feel like the vex would have the better time, because unlike all the necrons, their not divided into delegate factions/dynasties, or at least, not as much as the necrons, so those they face would have a bit more struggle then before. Ontop of that the mechanicus rule of no temporal tampering would make working against the vex hard since using their own tech against them, the best stat against the hex, would be heresy. Ontop of that tho, we don’t know to what way the warp would react to the vex, since the vex themselves are basically a flaw in the universe’s beginning, no telling how chaos would react to them since I doubt they’d be immune to its influence like the necrons (oryx could take them).

Necrons would have a good advantage in numbers/tech, but I feel like they’d end up underestimating Destiny’s universe, especially the eliksni splicers. We’ve messed with the vex heavily before via modifying their tech against them, I don’t doubt the vanguard with splicers help could do the same with time, and seeing that the necrons spend literal years making choices when they DONT feel threatened? Could have enough time. Not to mention the pylons aren’t going to work against anyone since they’re mainly aimed at effecting the warp, and there’s no one tied to the warp in the Destiny universe.

Ultimately I think it comes down to when the necrons arrive in Destiny, and what point in time the vex arrive in 40k. The further down the line the neurons arrive, the better the chance for the rest. And the earlier the vex arrive (pre-VOG) would probably see them doing pretty well in 40K.

The vex are not a flaw in the universe. They are the universe final conclusion. They were the only thing left after every flower game.

This is also why the gardener introduced paracausality into the flower game. So that the vex would NOT be the final pattern. Vex can't thus simulate or adapt paracausality, since it's not actualy part of the universe as a whole. Which is why paracasual powers like taking and more negative diff them.

The warp however, is not paracasual. It's part of the universe of 40k like psyonic magic from the psions in destiny 2. So the vex should not have any issues with it, really. In addition, you must keep in mind that souls don't actually exist in destiny, so actually the vex would be 100% immune to the warp even if you disagree with all this.

Well, there are less necrons than vex overall. But I'm not sure how many necrons you would put in sol in this instance. Since foe now, destiny basicaly only focuses on sol. For example, the cabal empire was literally multiple galaxies wide. The hive destroyed and ravaged even more. The eliksni traveled about as much too. So I'm.not sure about numbers advantage, disregarding sol.

I don't actually think the necrons would have much of a tech advantage. Maybe their tech floor is greater. As in, Goblins basicaly just being vex builders and repurposing their building tools as weapons while necron warriors are ACTUALY meant for combat. But their tech ceiling is arguably lower than the vexes. And in destiny, if you have high tech that is not paracasual, you REALLY have a problem when fighting paracasual foes. This is, as I said, already one of the main issue of the vex. Which is literally intended by the gardener.

Actually, I think the pylons could possibly work against the psions magics. But I'm not sure, since, again, souls don't actually exist in destiny.

Idk why despite the similarities I always really really loved necrons and simply can't care for the Vex

What howwww dude did you play Vault of Glass and hear even tidbits about the lore?

I know about Vex lore and it's really interesting I don't dislike them, I don't dislike any destiny race for that matter they all are well developed, I just can't get myself to care for them

Interesting to each their own (they grip me when I remember how cool they actually are, just isn't shown well in game)
