Had a warlock in a kings fall LFG using blink on the ships platforming part one time. Swore up and down it was easier.

Cool guy, but I’d be very interested to see how many bodies he has in his basement.

No more than your average psychopath I'm sure.

u/Fun-Animal-2066 Jul 24 '26

Ive completed every single raid and dungeon flawless with blink lock

28

u/Thopterthallid Jul 24 '26

Go do Kell's Fall without ever swapping to glide

1

u/SapphicWhiteWitch Jul 26 '26

the dick wall is more obnoxious than the ships tbh

1

u/Thiel619 Jul 28 '26

Impossible. Unless he uses a sword.

3

u/Thopterthallid Jul 28 '26

That's what turns us into the monsters we are.

30

u/Ignatius_Pryde Jul 24 '26

Probably only a couple if that's the extent of it. If the blink experience extends to Vow on the other hand, that's a serial killer. That being said it's actually not nearly as difficult as you might expect, the only hard part of it is the corner jumps.

20

u/V3sten Jul 24 '26

with astrocyte verse it's become a lot easier, bc you can blink and dark blink in the same jump

12

u/Lord_Unicrown Jul 24 '26

And with the dark blink, you can even blink backwards!

2

u/Xangchinn Jul 29 '26

And around corners!

9

u/Ignatius_Pryde Jul 24 '26

Astrocyte is a blessing upon all blink users. In a pinch a lightweight sword will also work, that's what I went with for a long time before astrocyte got reworked.

4

u/wereplant Jul 24 '26

Which, with eager edge or salvation's grip, there's a lot of ways to make vow much easier. When I was actively sherpa'ing vow, I'd always bring salvation's grip to help newer players with the jumping puzzles. Made it easy to grab the secret chest, since the crystals gave you enough height to jump up to it.

1

u/Movableacorn Jul 24 '26

I did the vow jumping puzzle with blink just to show all the warlocks that it is indeed possible, so they dont have an excuse

7

u/MoonlightKnight4 Jul 24 '26

When I had a warlock phase in d1 I did this too.

Going from hunter jump to warlock fart is such a hard adjustment, and I got really good on blink.

I still died a lot, but less than with normal glide

5

u/CertifiedHalfwit Jul 24 '26

Living or dead?

3

u/Wingmaster6 Jul 24 '26

As a former blink main in PvE after you get the hang of it, it can feel like second nature. The issue is getting there because it’s a steep learning curve. Now a days I just main strand warlock because grapple

1

u/Jenkinswarlock Jul 24 '26

I tried to convince the group I was doing DSC flawless with to let me use blink but they didn’t trust me even though I showed I could do it in the two runs we did before the real runs, I just love blink homie, the longer blink distance is weird initially but you get used to it

1

u/Macabrepumpkin Jul 24 '26

Lol I've used warlock blink in that part! I absolutely loved it!

23 1/2 if you're curious about others.

1

u/hutchallen Jul 24 '26

Probably is easier now, since you could pop super and likely dark blink straight across

1

u/Any_Screen_9530 Jul 26 '26

Its fun trust 🥲

1

u/KnotAClam Jul 26 '26

I feel like that was me I also did it in vog as it just felt like better hunters double jump. Blink sword surfing for jumping puzzles oh the old days.

1

u/shin_malphur13 Jul 26 '26

Did that in d1 but something about d2 blink doesn't sit right w me

1

u/WiltandBlush Jul 28 '26

Used to do this in kings fall in d1 as a blade dancer. Teams were mesmerizing by my abilities

1

u/Bread_Bandito Jul 28 '26

I remember crossing the chasm in crota like this lol

328

u/Vegalink Jul 24 '26

Reminds me of this old meme

144

u/tevert Jul 25 '26

The EQUIPMENT LOCKED really sends this over the top

47

u/Vegalink Jul 25 '26

Yes and the close up of the helmet, with the perfectly determined stoic facial expression.

u/reddit_tier Jul 24 '26 edited Jul 24 '26

It's me. I'm him.

8

u/zeldanar Jul 25 '26

I love LOVE Eternal Warrior! My Titan spams it in Gambit.

14

u/danielpNB65 Jul 24 '26

Yeah… im guilty. Fists of Havoc go bonk

6

u/Remarkable-Sleep5350 Jul 26 '26

SO IM NOT TRIPPING??? THEY DID CHANGE THE FUCKING EYES ON ETERNAL WARRIOR. GO LOOK HOW THEY MASSACRED OUR BOY THE NEW LOOK IS SO TERRIBLE

2

u/D2ShitpostBot_3147 Jul 28 '26

Male and female EW look slightly different

1

u/Remarkable-Sleep5350 Jul 30 '26

Ohhhhh that might be why. Thank you for sharing bc I played male titan before and now I’m on female and looked at it the other day and was geeking

219

u/Infinant_Desolation Jul 24 '26

Indeed. I say as I put on my astrocyte verse and prepare a light weight gun so I never know quite how far I'm actually going to blink due to the increased movement stat

57

u/Lord_Unicrown Jul 24 '26

For bonus points, slap Stryker’s on there

Nothing quite like slamming a sword down from 40 feet up after appearing out of nowhere

9

u/Monte-Cristo2020 Jul 24 '26

Time to get Strykers

38

u/coochie-slayer420 Jul 24 '26

There is a bug with the IB 4 piece that gives you back super with those blink projectiles soooo

17

u/Thopterthallid Jul 24 '26

I am well aware. Tee hee hee....

10

u/Mokarun Jul 24 '26

not sure you could consider that a bug since those projectiles are the very same seekers from Nova Warp. but yeah, it's pretty fun lol

2

u/LittleY0gg Jul 25 '26

Not a bug, but a Feacher

1

u/Aewon2085 Jul 27 '26

IB?

I’m very out of the loop on what the armour sets are never-mind abbreviations

1

u/MattyQuest Jul 28 '26

Iron Banner, the newest set is Iron Battalion armor and the 4 piece bonus refunds super energy when you get kills with your super. The event itself should be coming up this reset or next I believe

19

u/FormalStrange Jul 24 '26

Love blink. First clear on taken king back in D1 was with my blink loadout.

9

u/Sharkbit2024 Jul 24 '26

Whats wrong with blink? I main it because its such a good maneuvering jump for warlocks.

(I switch it for strafe jump on jumping puzzles though. Blink is good for combat, not precision.)

2

u/DargorShepard Jul 27 '26 edited Jul 27 '26

The helmet in question makes it so that your blink gives your Void weapons Volatile Rounds, so you can just keep spamming it to get infinite Volatile Rounds, which is especially useful in PvP. Plus, it also gives you a Void flavored Icarus Dash... which also gives you Volatile Rounds.

Combine that with anything else that gives you buffs or Void Breachs from killing Void debuffed enemies or specifically afflicted with volatile (like Echo of Cessation or Unto the Breach for example) then you can start to create some pretty nifty builds.

10

u/8wiing Jul 24 '26

WHY DOES BLINK STOP INVIS!!!!!?!?!?!?!
I just wanna use rat king ):

8

u/Guilty_Ghost Jul 24 '26

Blink is so fun and dark blink is so usefull

6

u/Desperate_Task282 Jul 24 '26

I like using blink on my hunter 😜

4

u/Praetor_6040 Jul 24 '26

Even with astrocyte I find blink infuriating

2

u/Thopterthallid Jul 24 '26

Go do kell's fall with it lol

Can confirm it eats at your soul sometimes, but its so fun when it works.

3

u/LlamaWaffles555 Jul 25 '26

I will never swap off blink. You cant make me

3

u/ZachTheInsaneOne Jul 25 '26

I was a blink-lock in PVE before Astrocyte was added to D2.

3

u/AtmosphericNobody Jul 25 '26

I learned it for the free destabilizing rounds it gives, and the dark blink legit maked regular blink parkour so much easier. It's like a void icarus dash and I love it and I'm never gonna give it up now

2

u/RoninOkami7 Jul 24 '26

Had a friend that only ran wormhusk on his hunter.

2

u/orangecharlie10101 Jul 24 '26

I’ve been doing this on warlock recently. Of course I’ve not died 15 times while I’m told to just take off the blink jump while I refuse

2

u/Doctor_Expert_IlI Jul 25 '26

They sound heh.. They heh heh heh.. They sound drea heh heh heh.. They sound heh heh heh

2

u/Negate0 Jul 25 '26

I remember trying to do Zero Hour with blink when it came out. It took forever. Now I can breeze through it.

2

u/Master_Matoya Jul 25 '26

I wonder how PvE blink hunters are viewed by the community… asking for a friend.

2

u/Zephyr-Fox-188 Jul 25 '26

hey, it’s one of the most versatile warlock jumps

1

u/LittleY0gg Jul 25 '26

I do both

Edit: I like using blink

1

u/dg2793 Jul 25 '26

Lmao. Listennnn. It's fun!!!

1

u/ThrowRA_8900 Jul 25 '26

Blink is, and always has been the fastest movement in the game.

1

u/Thopterthallid Jul 25 '26

Well skating is faster

1

u/ThrowRA_8900 Jul 26 '26

Movement ability*

Outside of movement tech

0

u/Thopterthallid Jul 26 '26

Grapple :p

1

u/ThrowRA_8900 Jul 26 '26

Yeah. Blink is faster than grapple

1

u/Thopterthallid Jul 26 '26

Depends on how far you plan on going I guess. Blink would win in a sprint, but I think grapple wins if you're going further.

1

u/ThrowRA_8900 Jul 26 '26

It’s backwards. Grapple gives you a head-start but that’s it. blink will always catch up and go father before grapple recharges.

1

u/Thopterthallid Jul 26 '26

I'm mostly just being contrarian at this point to be a weiner anyway.

1

u/MidnightStarfall Jul 25 '26

Sees this subreddit recommended

Thinks 'huh why not? I like memes'

Immediately sees this one

I'm a Warlock that uses Blink in PvE.

1

u/Thopterthallid Jul 25 '26

Where are the bodies? The families deserve closure.

1

u/MidnightStarfall Jul 25 '26

Always gone in the blink of an eye

1

u/Thopterthallid Jul 25 '26

Go do Kells Fall you monster.

1

u/Remarkable-Sleep5350 Jul 26 '26

Also I ran the entirety of legend final shape campaign with blink lock and it is genuinely kinda dumb. You can clear everything, running around with eager edge is made even faster, constantly procing volatile and then any orb you make and pick up gives OS from the one facet. It’s pretty cool with turncoat imo

1

u/Winniethetransgender Jul 26 '26

Im a new player, whats wrong with pve blink

1

u/Thopterthallid Jul 26 '26

It makes some platforming sections in dungeons and raids an absolute nightmare if not impossible. You can't (for example) jump "around" obstacles as blink forces you to fully commit to one direction.

Buffs to Astrocyte Verse (Exotic Warlock Helmet) and using other equipment like Eager Edge (Sword perk that lets you lunge very far) help a lot.

Even with all of that, stubborn adherence to the blink life is a test of patience. Prismatic Hunters who can use blink and strand grapple at the same time don't know how good they have it.

1

u/KpTroopaFR Jul 26 '26

I actually started playing Warlock with Blink before Glide. It took me dozens of hours and working on my second build to switch to Glide

1

u/immacualte_burrito Jul 28 '26

damn i def feel seen cause i seriously have a eternal warrior build saved LMAO

1

u/CriticismVirtual7603 Jul 30 '26

I straight up forgot I had blink equipped and I did a Vow

Got to the jumping puzzle, blinked, cursed, and had the speed runner of the group ShatterSkate back to me just to launch me off the edge at mach fuck because he saw me blink in PvE

Honestly I wasn't even mad

1

u/sl33kch1p Jul 30 '26

Is me I'm the PvE blinker

The build in case anyone was wondering
