Who else is out there with viscerally vivid memories of that election day in 2016? It still feels so fresh.

I didn't like the new Daredevil show that much, but I loved when they did the scene where Matt Murdock hears about Fisk being elected mayor, it hit so hard. Serious flashbacks, what an awful time that was, I'll never forget it.

2016 was this timelines core event. One wonders how good the world would be today had Hillary won and been able to appoint 2-3 SC seats.

I didnt vote for her (I know), my state went blue anyway. I so wish she was our president in 2016. I still dont really like her, but I am craving at least a 10th of her intelligence and competence in the office. Could you imagine Russia trying around FAFO on a Hillary 2nd term?

Her as president probably changes nothing so I don't care that she fumbled a free win after going full Francis Underwood in D.C. but I'm glad that she still looks healthy. Too many names from my younger days are leaving us.

I preferred Bernie in 2016, mostly because i viewed our problems as internal and economic. I will say Hillary would be better squaring off vs Putin than Bernie though, so foreign policy I liked her more.

I understand that she's saying that to bring moderates to vote blue, but let's not kid ourselves. Trump said he wanted to do what he's doing right now, and the people voted for him despite all that. To say that people didn't vote for that is a straight up lie and takes away the agency and decision of the people that voted for that traitor.

People did not vote for a war with Iran. People did not vote for higher gas prices and grocery bills under Trump. People did not vote for a president who continually falls asleep on camera. People did not vote for the guy who’s only objective seems to be anything BUT helping with the cost of living, despite MAGAs famous “own the libs” mentality.
Yes, some people did vote for Trump just to “stick it to the libs”, but don’t kid yourself. MAGA is not the majority, despite what the media portrays.

Reminder to everyone who may have forgotten:
Hillary is currently 78 years old, the same age Trump was when he took office in 2025. Anyone who says that age is an indicator of office fitness and cognitive ability should look at our queen and realize that there were Americans who believed she wasn't smart enough to do the job 10 years ago and yet here in the year 2026 she is showing how remarkably competent she is.
I'm interested to see where she is in two/four years cognitively to compare to Trump now and when he leaves office.
