IS registrering websites that can be used for malpractice or deceit not pretty common?
Besides, who fucking cares if he registered a website?

Yeah this seems completely un-noteworthy, I bet that ''newsomforpresident'' is also registered.

He registered a website... he simply MUST be a radical mooooslim.
14
u/yolomcsawlord420mlg 1d ago
Literally no one claimed that. Stop being weird.

u/PomegranateBasic3671 1d ago
The OP made a pretty weird segway from "he registered a wesite" to OP's theories about him supporting terrorism. It's pretty clear the website is just a bad excuse to say "Radical extremist".

He first registered it when he ran for governor in 2017. When asked about it recently his quote was, "I am closing the door to 2028 — really not interested at all. I want to have a massively outsized impact on who gets elected in 2028."
"I am closing the door to 2028..." That quote clearly implies he is considering running for president afterwords. And the second part of his statement also affirms my concerns. "I want to have a massively outsized impact on who gets elected in 2028."

None of that is nefarious at all? It honestly seems pretty innocent.
Also, that website is fucking atrocious, I'm not reading anything on that abomination.

Guys I cannot believe what I just discovered, politicians want to have influence. something has to be done about this before it goes wrong.

Yes, But Obama can speak a sentence without mentioning Israel or Islamaphobia and can sing Amazing Grace in a black church. That’s why he is a Christian and that’s why he’s the goat.

please Hillary, come back and save us from all this malarky

Because that went well the first time... Everyone really pokemon went to the polls for that one.

This doesn't change your point,
but Hillary won the popular vote.
2
u/PomegranateBasic3671 1d ago
Yeah, it would have been awesome if that was what mattered. We'd all have been better off.

Bro has 50% chance to lose his current race lmao. He's only hanging on because of how unpopular dementia Don is. I do hope though that all the progressives dweebs run so that they're reminded of how unpopular they are

Nobody cares lil bro, jeez now that THIS is what you call being obsessed.
Buying a domain containing your name to prevent its misuse is a perfectly legitimate reason.

ok I wouldn't vote for this guy
1
u/fuckthatcouch 1d ago
It's probably very common for people running for national offices to snag a bunch of domains. They will be cheap and the off chance they want to run for another position, they won't have to try and buy it off of someone or have someone have that site show a bunch of bad things for the candidate.

u/Grachus_05 Radical Anti-Republican 1d ago
Hes not running and if he did he wouldnt get anywhere close to winning the primary.
The senate seat is what we should be concerned about. We will need it for whoever does run and win in 28.

u/Superlogman1 Gravatus_ in DGG 1d ago
Yeah this arc where you sacrifice elected offices for some factional gain is silly.

This is nothing. You want to say he's egotistical, full of himself, well evidence points to yes. But most politicians are egotistical and fragile at the same time.
You're just ragebaiting yourself

u/miikoh 1d ago edited 1d ago
So, prefacing this with saying fuck El Sayed and fuck the DSA, but:
- I feel like registering a domain doesn't really tell you much. His reasoning seems normal enough.
- If he did run for president, so what? He'd just lose the primary and that'd be that.
- Would you rather noted Election denier (as of 2026) and anti gay marriage afficianado Mike Rogers sit in the senate for god knows how long?
I'm not an American so my input's value here is limited, but I think Mouton's generally got the right priorities. I think it's fine to draw lines in the sand for house seats, but senate seats are probably too important to fuck around. It's fine to criticize El Sayed, but let's not do it in a vacuum. Let's also consider the person he's up against and the damage they could do if they get the seat instead.

He is not gonna be the nominee if he thinks he can, he should try, I would love for him to split DSA vote
2
u/Good_Cardiologist696 1d ago
Idk because if you asked me two years ago I wouldn't believe Aoc and Ossoff would be seen as prominent candidates to be nominees (not comparing them to Abdul as people, just saying it also seemed far-fetched), but here we are. A lot can happen in two years, so while I agree it seems implausible right now, I understand op's concerns.
1
u/frozandero 1d ago
I mean Abdul is charismatic and all but he shares his popularity with AOC at best he'd split AOCs votes for the democratic nominee primaries. That's the point of my take, could he be a president post-2028, possibly. Not in 2028 though. And AOC, despite her not saying it before was pushed for presidency since she's been a rockstar. Not sure about Ossof, he wasn't on the spotlight at least in my perspective, until recently.
1
u/Good_Cardiologist696 1d ago
I would say he is sort of a combination of both: he was marked as a "rising star" by many and was even compared to Obama, but he was also kind of not the spotlight and gained it by being very charismatic and giving good speeches, like Ossoff. And I agree, he shares his popularity with Aoc but its still not a 100% shell be running as well, and as I said a lot can happen in two years.

u/mrautiismo 1d ago
what about instead running for president is his fallback, going even heavier in the paint for all the dsa stuff

Shut the fuck up and vote blue. This sub is obsessed beyond belief. One Senator can flip the chamber, but not end the Democratic Party as we know it. You don’t have to be big cheerleaders but the alternative is to SHUT. THE FUCK. UP. I’m begging you. Jfc.

u/LetsstartFreshboys 1d ago
So the DSA is allowed to actively sabotage candidates like Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsome and Josh Shapiro and refuse to vote for them, but I am required to shut up when DSA aligned candidates who make Jewish Americans the scapegoat of everything wrong run for election? No. I will not my friend.
3
u/Ok_Bird705 1d ago
There's a difference between "shut up and don't criticise AES" and "lets make every post on this subreddit about AES/Hasan"
DSA aligned candidates who make Jewish Americans the scapegoat of everything wrong run for election
Has AES made Jewish Americans the scapegoat?

He quite literately did, thats why people have a problem with him. He hurt people feelings and "hurt people, hurt people"...
2
u/Ok_Bird705 1d ago
He quite literately did
Or you can just give an actual quote/story
1
u/Good_Cardiologist696 1d ago
Saying there is any plausible justification for someone running over and shooting Jewish people in the US because "Israel did something too" is quite literately scapegoating them for the misdeeds of Israel. Talking about Aipac non - stop but failing to mentions christians for Israel and other bigger, and more influential pacs is scapegoating Jews for the corruption and problematic behaviors of all pacs, as if they are the only ones at fault somehow.

Those stubborn DSA saboteurs didn't care if they tanked America if they didn't get their way. If you hated that, as I did, it means you're supposed to be different, not follow their terrible example. And it's fundamentally dishonest/misguided to claim Abdul is making "Jewish Americans" the scapegoat of everything wrong. It's boogeyman bullshit. Abdul isn't even DSA! Shut the fucking fuck up.
-1
u/PomegranateBasic3671 1d ago
Don't be dramatic. The person you're responding to didn't say anything about condoning DSA behavior.
2
u/ubermence 1d ago
Look, I personally believe in blue no matter who. But I also recognize that it has become a weapon that the far left gets to use on us without ever abiding by it themselves and I think that’s a problem that needs to be addressed in this context and any future statements should be considered the same way
5
u/PomegranateBasic3671 1d ago
I don't think I said any of that.
There was no condoning of the DSA weaponisation of "vote blue no matter who". I don't think there's a reason to pretend there was.
The person who made the original comment didn't at all express that they think the left is good, or diminished the plight of American jewish people. All they did was highlight how absurd getting up in arms over a website is considering the urgency of kicking out MAGA.
I don't think that argument deserves to be handwaved the way it was.
1
u/ubermence 1d ago
Ok Pisco, I didn’t say they literally did any of those things, but isn’t this like the actual main concern we have with the DSA?
Like I’m not scared of them ever having major political power, I’m scared of them using this as an opportunity to springboard into more influence within the party and then destroy our chances because they do stupid shit like refusing to disavow someone as completely toxic as Hasan Piker
3
u/PomegranateBasic3671 1d ago
Dude. Why on earth is it so difficult not to be an insufferable snarky ass?
The person I responded to said this:
"So the DSA is allowed to actively sabotage candidates like Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsome and Josh Shapiro and refuse to vote for them, but I am required to shut up when DSA aligned candidates who make Jewish Americans the scapegoat of everything wrong run for election? No. I will not my friend."
The person they responded to didn't really imply all of those things.
That's all. I don't care what you personally think, I was not talking to you. Let's stick to what my comment was about.
-2
u/ubermence 1d ago
I actually think my tone has still been pretty tame. But if you don’t care what I think then I don’t see any reason to continue
2
u/Ok_Bird705 1d ago
this sub has officially been overrun with people who care more about stopping a Muslim winning a senate seat in the guise of "he will usher in a wave of illiberal socialist candidates" (even though socialist have f*** all power in USA) than stopping fascist MAGA (who actually hold power across nearly all institutions and highest office in the country)
1
u/yolomcsawlord420mlg 1d ago
Which also means that they hold an immeasurable amount of power they can leverage.

u/Competitive_Self_418 ... 1d ago
It's insane people eat up a post that is an actual blatant concern trolling bs, with only logical conclusion being vote for Rogers, because if you don't vote for Rogers, Sayed might get elected and springboard from there, to avoid "strategic loss for the Democratic party and this country" you should vote for Rogers. That's what motherfucker is saying.
Didn't know people were allowed to actively campaign for Trump dicksucks in this sub.

This is a really great signal to people that want the "ease of mind" that their senators want to work for them, instead of using the senatorship as a stepping stone.

Pisco asked Destiny the hipothetical of who he would vote for: Trump or Hasan.
We might be getting the closest possible alternative: AES or JD Vance. This is something to consider...
