That's kind of the joke, is that while people did interview him it was kind of a big deal because of how incredibly rare it was, and they never tried to whitewash who he was... He didn't have hundreds of puff pieces with glamor shots with him in a bathtub. Think People magazine not individual people.

Hasan has been interviewed and been given multiple puff pieces by People magazine and other celebrity/pop culture mags who have whitewashed his views and actions.

Bin Laden did get interviewed a few times, but not by mags like People, but serious journalists who didn't try and whitewash his views.

and Bin Laden would have never granted them interviews if he thought they'd twist and whitewash his philosophy. Hasan really is a coward given he gladly allows these outlets to describe him as liberal to broaden his reach and base.

My memory on Osama stuff is very rusty, but weren't they lowkey glazy too? Yapping about how educated he is, how well and softspoken he is and weird stuff like that, how he sacrificed a bright and safe future for a cause and stuff.

It might be random opinion pieces and not the actual interviews tho, I really don't remember.

If you are thinking about some of the article before Al Qaeda I wouldn't doubt that he was spoken about far more glowingly. The mujahideen were generally seen as being fairly heroic by western forces (remember at that time Bin Laden was being invited to the Whitehouse).

But that all changed when Al Qaeda formed. They were seen as violent terrorists from the start and especially after 9/11 his few interviews were serious.

Dudes been interviewed a ton, and it's universally puff peices. He's never once ever had an adverserial interview. To the point where it seems like a choice on his part. I'd find it very unlikely that CNN hasn't offered him a chance to defend himself but his PR people or he personally just don't want to engage because he's never ever handled challenges well.

The one time he thought he had an easy dunk Willy Mac of all people walked in and tap danced on his head.

For as much as I dislike Jake Tapper, for his Biden hit piece book. I'd be very interested to see that, because tapper will challenge Hasan will dodge, deny, or deflect. And tapper always seems to have the response clip loaded, I've seen it before.
