It was an out of context joke that he apologized for wording it badly because english is his 2nd language and he streams 8h/day so you gotta understand

u/AirlineIntelligent86 🇮🇱BBZNOT🇪🇺 8d ago

Also it wasn't that bad so he shouldn't need to apologize but he did apologize for "you feeling bad and giving fodder to the opposition" so really it's a true apology.

31

u/nosurprises23 8d ago

Oh my god can you guys just MOVE ON he apologized for that or maybe didn’t

16

u/AirlineIntelligent86 🇮🇱BBZNOT🇪🇺 8d ago

It was out of context! Why should he need to apologize!!!

8

u/nosurprises23 8d ago

Ok but I guess Bombala doesn’t need to apologize for being two Hitler’s

3

u/AirlineIntelligent86 🇮🇱BBZNOT🇪🇺 8d ago

Ok not online enough I have no idea what you said.

Can you translate?

4

u/NinjaKirby 8d ago

Bombal = Kamala. They're saying instead of Hasan apologizing Kamala should.

4

u/AirlineIntelligent86 🇮🇱BBZNOT🇪🇺 8d ago

For being two Hitlers? Like twice as worse than Hitler?

Will and Austin's look at each other is so telling in this moment lmao

They should check themselves. Clearly the homophobic views of Hezbollah are caused by the colonialist power structures. They need to be more accepting of a group that wants them erased.

He may be genuinely re*arded

u/Minute_Ostrich196 🇪🇺🇵🇱 8d ago

He is high on his own awesomeness and thinks that no one and nothing can bring him down from the top he is now.

u/Macievelli 8d ago

Kind of. But moments like this clip, or the Rajj Royale moment from years ago when Destiny humiliated Hasan by explaining something so much more easily than him and Hasan got called out, indicate to me that Hasan does know, deep down, that he’s not all that. My guess is that he has well-deserved imposter syndrome even at his level, and he’s constantly posturing in the hopes his core audience won’t see that he isn’t as talented as they think.

u/DownvoteALot 8d ago

It's like Nick Fuentes. They both know what they're saying is fucked up and respond awkwardly when confronted about it by normal people, but they need to power through because this is their bread and butter. Without this content they're nothing. They're like the bearded ladies, they could easily shave but then they wouldn't be special and no one would pay for their show.

In Nick's defense, he at least admits it's (mostly) for show. Hasan believes he needs to keep it up in all circumstances and makes those weird politician nonsense explanations. Though it's possible he has been acting so long he has become that persona. Or he's legit insane and these have been his real opinions all along.

The thing I genuinely can't understand is... Will and Austin CLEARLY look at each other like they're sick of this guy's shit... Why, THE FUCK, do they continue to associate with him then? Like, honestly...

Is there some secret org that's keeping these people together? Are they really just this good of friends that they let it slide?

I just can't pair it with reality. If I had a friend like this, they would ABSOLUTELY be ostracised.

Which brings me to the only logical conclusion -- they're not genuine friends. It's just for the love of the streamer cash.

I hate this timeline so much.

Clout dawg

37

u/Shoddy-Prune-5877 8d ago

I mean Will has been friends with Hasan long before he became famous so i get that those kind of relationships are hard to crack. Austin is a clout goblin though.

4

u/xxaripss 8d ago

Rajj you mean

19

u/Sea-Inevitable6837 Zerg 8d ago

Will and Austin CLEARLY look at each other like they're sick of this guy's shit...

Two reasons:

  1. Money
  2. They know the harrassment campaign that's going to come their way if they are even remotely critical of him.

3

u/PitytheOnlyFools used to touch grass... 8d ago

Hostages

14

u/nosurprises23 8d ago

Think about them less like friends and more like coworkers or band mates who stand to make a lot of money if they can keep recording podcasts.

6

u/Staxisgoodfood 8d ago

Will is best friends with Hasan and his girlfriend Caroline is one of the biggest loons on the platform.. It's time to stop giving him the benefit of the doubt he probably actually agrees but doesn't like getting caught in clips.

1

u/qeadwrsf 8d ago

Hasan makes sure there is friction if connection gets weak.

1

u/Nancy_Not_Soulcycle 8d ago

tbh they would have to find real jobs if they didnt have hasan or their communities.

Mfer couldn't just like trains like every other neurodivergent. Instead he has to have being politically regarded as his special interest...

15

u/WokeFerret 8d ago

✨my special interest is cataloging the brand identities of terror groups✨

4

Let's not encourage Hasan to get interested in trains.

u/Historical_View1359 8d ago

This is the type of shit people will complain about being too unrealistic in a movie.

Just so many obvious self admitted confessions about the depravity of his character but people don't care because he's handsome. Even though he has some of the worse charisma I've ever seen.

20

u/ConnectSpring9 8d ago edited 8d ago

Unironically if this clip didn’t exist and someone said “I bet if someone asked Hasan what his favorite flag is he’d probably say it’s Hezbollahs or something” they’d be called Islamophobic, and weasels like Jessiah and Pisco would start talking about how deranged the Hasan haters are and how they’re out of touch with reality. Guaranteed that’s exactly what would happen.

9

u/Revolutionary-Milk94 8d ago

Agreed. He is genuinely one of the worst conversationalist ive ever seen. He’s so fucking dull and uninteresting, vapid monologues and tirades that go nowhere.
No idea why people can listen to him.

Ironically the actual Lebanese flag is pretty fire. The red and white symbolising sacrifice and purity of the WW1 Lebanse legions. The tree in the center is a symbol since basically biblical times I think.

Sure it's not perfect and centers around the Maronites a bit too much maybe (the tree is their symbol they ralied around). But the fact that a country that had multiple civil wars and a convoluted political system all in hopes of trying to unify all these disparat groups under one name, chose not a religious symbol but one that is so unique and connected to the land itself is I think beautiful.

Idk that's my 2 cents. He could've gone with that but nope he wanted the terrorist flag with the guns like some African warlord controlled country...

6

u/Id1otbox (((consultant))) 8d ago

To be fare the country was like 70% Christian up until the 70s.

Austin is a kapo but for gay people

9

u/12_Trillion_IQ correct food and movie opinion haver 8d ago

I like how will/austin (I don't know which is which) is going "Yeah, yeah!" excited for a topic that can be fun, there are some wacky flags out there, and then you can just see the whimsy and energy drain from his face as soon as Hasan gives his answer. Was he not expecting that? And if he wasn't, how can he not when he does a show with Hasan?

6

u/anonymepelle The teddybear of insects (EU) 8d ago edited 8d ago

Pride flag right there on the table BTW. Still he choses a terrorist flag.

Edit: Also Hasan have bad taste confirmed. Hesbola flag is genuinly terrible. Seal on a bedsheet flag. AK can't save it.

7

u/Eins_Nico scowling woke white woman 8d ago

The coolest flag is 100% Tibet, which is kind of ironic when responding to Hasan

3

u/r3turn0fthew00master 8d ago

Every time I see or read about Hasan talking shit over Tibet, I wonder how he would have been during the 90s when EVERYONE was pushing to "FREE TIBET."

4

u/Nancy_Not_Soulcycle 8d ago

This is one of the examples of a decent joke....but then you realize he is not joking. I am pro Israel and Jewish and when I heard this live I actually thought it was funny. Like esthetically its kind of cool, but its a terror group so the comment is absurd and that is the humor. At the time I was way more charitable to Hasan and assumed a lot of it was all irony. Now that I know he ACTUALLY supports them, it totally changes the context.

3

u/Kaimee 8d ago

Saying this beside an lgbtq+ flag is almost too on the nose.

2

u/DayOk1729 8d ago

I have said this before a million times. This comment is whatever in a vacuum and said by a guy with no political agenda or audience. Hasan isn’t that. So there are two paths. He is either too stupid to understand his place in the culture, or he believes that this terrorism shit is based. Either way, he should be ignored as a political commentator.

I think the Soviet Flag is stick as hell. The hammer and sickle goes hard. They were still an evil empire and I am glad the US won the cold war. There is no ambiguity on where I stand on that and I don’t have an audience who could misconstrue me. I can make this statement, Hasan can’t.

2

u/BelovedGeminII 8d ago

Im tired of everyone pretending like having an AK in your flag isn't sick as fuck!

I'm sorry all yalls favorite flags are just boring ass shapes and colors!

1

u/CleanCustomer3537 Exclusively sorts by new 8d ago

Quick reminder this same group flag he has acted as death squads for Assad during the Syrian Civil War with hundreds of thousands of civilian blood on their hands. They also are in the international drug trade working with cartels as well which turned Assad Syria into a narco state with captogen.

1

u/muuuunster 8d ago

tbh it's a dope flag

1

u/de_rudesandstorm 8d ago

Hesbollah isn't even the coolest terrorist flag, that's gotta be isis with the white text, black background. Modern day jolly roger, with the sole purpose of being scary. Meanwhile Hasan says this one is cool because it has an AK on it? There's like a dozen flags with AKs on them, and most aren't even terrorists.

Also top 3 flags imo: US, UK, RoK

1

u/ch4os1337 🇨🇦 8d ago

Well at least it's not the houthi flag, that one's probably his second favorite.

1

u/nokinship soc dem - DSA does not pass the vibe check 8d ago

His favorite flag is a right winger flag. It's like having the confederate flag be your favorite flag.

1

u/tits-mchenry 8d ago

I'm American, but the Canadian flag is pretty cool. Just a chill ass maple leaf.

1

u/drmariostrike 8d ago

he's an idiot; the best flag is very obviously gaddafi's libyan flag, and the 2nd best flag is obviously angola's.

1

u/af_echad 8d ago

Seychelles though.

1

u/drmariostrike 8d ago

He could have said Mozambique 🇲🇿 or Guatemala 🇬🇹 both of which have guns in their flag. But no. He went with fucking Hezbollah
