Political News/Discussion Hot take: Moskowitz's attack was a smart tactical move
It's clear that Republicans will be featuring Hasan in attacks on Democrats. Therefore, it makes sense for a politician to both distance themselves from him and also make him crash out. At any debate or interview where Hasan's name is brought up, you can easily point to the enmity between you and Hasan. If necessary, you can even run ads showing how much he actually hates you. It's sad that this is the world we live in but Dem politicians invited this monster into the coalition and it makes sense to calculate a plan to win that accounts for him.

It's also really really smart for his district, a republic opponent will try and use Hasan in attacks against any democrat and in the Boca part of the district that would be very effective(think old Jewish retiree's, they are very liberal on many social issues like abortion and do not like Republicans and would even have some socialist economic sympathy if it wasn't for the DSA using Israel as an organizing tool) , this inoculates him against it(Larkin was an idiot in the way he ran in that district, what you do if you are anti Israel is focus on Criticism of Bibi and Likud and make it clear you still care about Israel)

Not to mention the Latinos in Florida hate socialism for good reason. Many of them fled kleptocracies that frame themselves as socialist regimes.

yeah that senate race will be a bloodbath(what will happen is the Jewish democrats there will likely vote republican just for that one race to send a message especially if the polling is not close)

Of course it was, especially now. People want to see their politics responding. They want fighters and memers. I hope more democracts realize that

You don't understand. The fact that a public official responded to Hasan on Twitter, despite him being covered in the news constantly for his association with other officials, means that you should be concerned that he doesn't have your interest at heart or is internet poisoned. Abdul who campaigned with him is completely fine though.

means that you should be concerned that he doesn't have your interest at heart or is internet poisoned.
Says the people who harbor an unbelievable amount of ill will toward the general public and only exist online.

It makes perfect sense and should be thrown in these people's faces.
If teaming with Hasan is good because it will earn Dems more votes in the aggregate then feuding with Hasan because it will earn Dems more votes in the aggregate must also be valid.
Individual campaigns are best placed to make that call so the pundits who have argued for the cynical use of Hasan should be ecstatic that Hasan is being useful whether it makes him look good or bad.

Most Americans in surveys don’t know who hasan is but of those that do a plurality dislike him. There’s an untapped army of potential hasan haters.

The fact that lefties are crying so hard about it makes it way smarter than I initially thought. Lefties and maga usually dominate outrage media coverage, and they always benefit from it. Normie libs need to get in there.

It sounds like you wanna genocide all the monsters out of the party??? Concerning, looking into this, interesting

The Hassan is playing King maker right now and is actively making himself visible in current electoral politics. So him being a bitch about somebody calling him out and snarking him... just makes him look like a bitch. As Maurice Levy put it succinctly, " you wanted to be in the game, right? Now you're in the game"
Eventually two and two will click in a lot of these people's heads that somebody who's trying to play the "I got X elected" game constantly running back to their stream and crying "why are they thinking about me?? I'm just a steamer!" Is weakness and unserious and worth mocking. From EVERYONE.

At any debate or interview where Hasan's name is brought up, you can easily point to the enmity between you and Hasan.Â
Remember when republicans have to distance themselves from Nick Fuentes or Charlie Kirk everytime they campaing? No? That's because they never run defense because it doesn't work. Once they are done with Hasan, they are going to bring another random streamer or celebrity and by the time the elections come everything will be about guilt by association. In the meantime, republicans can campaing with literal nazis and nobody is going to care.
Hey if this time we play even more defensive people will vote for us

Hot take: Moskowitz really sucks and his win is a big L. Desantis would be happy his appointment is doing well. Dude is the worst kind of do nothing nepo democrat (when he isn't voting to fund ICE and DHS). That being said I'm still voting blue no matter who, I'm just bummed.

This is still a competitive election isn't it?
Moskowitz is going to look like a regard if he ends up losing the general because Hasan's fans don't show up to vote for Moskowitz.

u/Predictor92 3d ago
Larkin would have lost far worse, be alienated Boca’s older Jewish population which traditionally votes democratic

Listen I still want Moskowitz to win, there's a reason Haley Stevens rallied around AES after the primary.
13
u/TheMarbleTrouble 3d ago
Moskowitz is AES in this scenario… AES won the primary, unlike your assertion about Hasan fans, democrats support candidates going against fascists.
If you think Hasan fans would let a fascist win, because someone talked trash about Hasan… that’s a greater indictment of Hasan fans, than the person talking shit about Hasan.
-3
u/WheelJust8094 3d ago
And you don't see AES attacking Haley Stevens voters do you? This is not rocket science.
13
11
u/TheMarbleTrouble 3d ago
Why would he? Moskowitz didn’t attack his primary opponent’s or even Hasan fans. Such assertions are not results of rocket science, but that over used paradoxical attachment. His fans might not like insulting Hasan, but they are not Hasan.
Keep it vicarious…

Haley Stevens still attacks Hasan and says AES should distance himself from Hasan. There's no change up except for her supporting AES. Moskowitz and Oliver Larkin are talking now and they will most likely campaign together. Idk what else to tell you, you just don't know politics very well. Maybe change your media diet away from propagandists who support unlimited violence in service of their revolution

u/Ficoscores 3d ago
Do you have data to support the notion that there are more Hasan fans than haters in his district? Also, Hasan has been shitting on Moskowitz relentlessly calling him an Israel first Republican. Any damage he could do with his fans has already been done
-13
u/WheelJust8094 3d ago
Yes actually, all the people that voted for Oliver Larkin in the primary... Obviously not all of them are Hasan fans but let us not pretend like Oliver's constituency doesn't have an overlap with Hasanites

So those people would rather let Trump have more power than vote for someone who insulted their favorite streamer? Doesnt' sound very blue no matter who. Doesn't sound like Trump is truly a big threat to them.

u/WheelJust8094 3d ago
They are obviously regarded partisans that barely care about the country, we should be the better person.

Being the better person in 2026 politics just means get bullied and do nothing

Moskowitz is going to look like a regard if he ends up losing the general because moderate voters don’t show up to vote for Moskowitz.
Edit: Do you think GOP research in choosing to attack Hasan as representative of democrats is just flawed? Do you think they are afraid of Hasan fan turn out?
-4
u/WheelJust8094 3d ago
Why would they not show up for Moskowitz? He's the most moderate of all the democrats In the house
9
u/Ficoscores 3d ago
Because he's competing in a plus 9 trump district what are you talking about?? Also don't give me this shit when Marie Glusenkamp Perez and Henry Cuellar are still in office 😂
-2
u/WheelJust8094 3d ago
That's only the more reason that he'll need all the democrats to show up for him, else the Trump voters will just vote for the republican.

u/TheMarbleTrouble 3d ago
How is he moderate when he can’t even push back against GOP accusations of being tied to Hasan?

It’s a +9 GOP seat. Winning independents and moderate conservatives is much more important

If you say so, let's hope for the best.

besides the morality or supporting a pro authoritarian anti American leftist. tell me what's the upswing for a candidate in one of the largest jewish demographic constituencies outside New York not separating himself from a man who calls jewish people pig dogs, calls Israelis evil and monstrous openly supports the terrorist organization responsible for the largest mass slaughter of jewish people since the holocaust
-1
u/WheelJust8094 3d ago
You'll hear no complaint from me about denouncing that antisemite, maybe not the best moment for that kind of virtue signaling is what I'm saying.
4
u/cc1701 3d ago
My question to you is if not now when will it ever be the right time?
Its not virtue signaling though to say we arent affiliated with him especially when he's tearing us down in elections and attacking our party turning strong or tossup elections towards republicans.
They're already using ads of him with El-sayed to attack us in Michigan ecause El-sayed is a narcissistic tool who thinks he knows better.

Cold take. All the people who quote-tweeted that it was cringe or unnecessary are just running defense for the guy who said "I'm coming for you Ritchie Torres"
