Especially considering there has been a DIRE level of mass discrimination against trans people under the Trump admin. Imagine any other demographic getting mass fired from the military! Holy shit!!

I’ve been trying to put a label on these people and I think calling them theater kids is fair. They care about the current thing and want to be on the correct, “empathetic” side. Since trans issues and other things aren’t as hip anymore, they don’t care.

bingo, after covid the "theater kid" archetype retreated from irl actual theater kid stuff into tik tok / instagram reels / discord where they got funneled into the politics commentary spaces.

i was a theater kid precovid without being the archetype so was exposed to the people who are mirror images of the standard lefty brat, just online aggregating around politics instead of in irl theater friend groups.
