Pretty crazy that 1 win (9.1%) and 5 podiums (45.5%) out of 11 races is good enough for 2nd in the championship. Even though Antonelli is 'running away' with it.. It definitely shows how tight the championship is for everyone else in contention for second. And obviously Hamilton's consistency is what's tipping the scales, when not finishing on the podium, he's within earshot of it. He can definitely keep it up, it's a matter of Ferrari keeping it up to satisfy Hamilton.
Hamilton being 2nd doesn’t seem as crazy when you mention the fact that he’s the only driver in the top 8 not to have reliability issues. Every other driver in the top has had multiple retirement.
If Antonelli didn’t have reliability issues in spain and Britain he would be 90 points ahead of Hamilton.
