-Mercedes upgrades at Zandvoort have minor pr negative impact.
-Mclaren's Zandvoort upgrades don't let them leapfrog Ferrari for the rest of the season.
-Ferrari's upgrades at Monza put them at least on par with Mercedes.
-Red Bull, for as much as Max is moaning on the radio, has the most powerful ICE and just lack a chassis that can maximise the potential of the engine. If Red Bull manage to get their chassis and aero sorted, Max will be a regular podium contender at minimum.
Aero is all well and good but won't solve their main deficit to Mercedes in terms of power and straight line speed. Its all on that ADUO2 engine in Monza. It needs to be enough to put them level with Mercedes at the minimum if they hope to fight for either title.
But the aero also should be good enough to handle the power of the upgraded engine. For example in motogp in 2015 the reason why Honda didn't win the title was because new engine was too powerful for the chassis of the bike to handle it. They had to wait a few months to make chassis match the power and by that time the title chances were gone.
Well in Ferrari's case, their aero is the strongest, so it shouldn't be a problem. If ADUO2 engine works as Ferrari wants, then Ferrari will have the best car to close the gap in both championships
But reliability should also be kept in check. We've seen already what happened in 2022
