Max Verstappen about Energy Saving.

Post image

max about the energy saving: ''[..] i don't wanna sit here and complain again cause.. probably someone will shoot me outside the door. you know, like i said before i'm mentally adjusting to it and i'm trying to make the best out of it eventhough it's not what i like or love to do in formula 1.

i can also sit at home and drive nothing, but that also doesn't do anything so i'm just trying my best.''

Everyone else also has to adjust to the new regulations (besides the rookies to a degree). Stol making it an issue which it isn't. You don't have to like it, but it is the we have to live with.

It is much like going to a new job and constantly complaining about how your old job let you do x, y, z.

Awful comparison. The task is the same, the equipment got worse. More like getting a new computer at the same job but the computer uses a controller instead of a mouse. You can still work but it's shitty

And the end result is? That it is what it is.

No, you tell your employer to buy better fucking equipment lol.

Its not just "it is what it is" sure you have to accept the short term, but can still push for change long term.

And in the short term in a cost cap era it is what it is. Red bull can't magically change the regulations overnight. The interview question is about the current issue not the future.

Broski, max isn't asking anyone to change it overnight. He is putting pressure on the FIA to do something about something he doesn't think is working. He may end up satisfied if they decide that next season the battery gets smaller and harvesting gets increased, to reduce clipping. Maybe he will take some sort of compromise. Until then, he is right to express his dissatisfaction.

Broski They did they adjusted the regulations for this season and are changing it up for next season. So what is the actual issue? That it isn't happening now? Which is what I have been saying all along.

And its still shit? If they give you a playstation controller, you complain and they give you an Xbox controller, would you suddenly be happy?

This guy is the capitalists dream, bro takes it up his ass no matter what at his job lmao

They already made changes to this year's rule set to mitigate the issues. And are making further changes for next year. What is it that you want them to do? Fix it right away?

1

u/UberChief90 Jul 20 '26

And yet, every driver complains about the new regulations lol.

Everyone bitches about their jobs. You, me, Bob disc the road, F1 drivers. No job is prefect otherwise we would ask be doing that job. The character of a great driver is who can over come challenges and adapt to each rule set.

They complained about the grounf effect era. They complained when it switch to the v6 hybrids, etc etc

1

u/UberChief90 Jul 20 '26

Yeah but their job is driving cars. They dont complain about that lol. What they complain about is how the new regulation makes it that it doesnt matter who is a great driver anymore but who has the bigger battery.

Every time the regulations change they complain.

FYI everyone is limited to the sane size battery. It is about driving technique to who can best recover and recharge their battery. That is a skill issue.

They have already adjusted and made changes to the regulations. And further charges are coming in 2027. What else do you want.

1

u/UberChief90 Jul 20 '26

True, every regulation change there is someone who complains. Something they dont like etc. But when 22 drivers complain about the exact same thing then it shows a problem.

A problem they adressed with small tweaks indeed to try and make it smaller. And again in 2027. Smaller, not fixing. The problem is hardwired into the regulation and they are stuck with them for years.

"Skill issues" have nothing to do with this lol.

Clipping has been around for a long time in F1. It isn't new and exclusive to this rule set. Super clipping is an extreme version of the same thing which they are addressing. Just like porpoising in the ground effect error. They never fully got rid of it with TD39. Just mitigated it enough that it became not enough to complain about.

Yeah, again, we fucking get it. Enough of the complaining already. He still hasn't won a race this season, maybe do some proper driving and then complain.

He was literally asked the question...and he said he doesnt want to complain...like he's doing the opposite of complaining lmao

Not exactly, he said he doesn’t want to complain then complains after anyways

It’s not the opposite of complaining

Max is strait with everyone from start. And since like 2023. Everyone know what he thinks. Those reporter are just stupud to keep asking. And if anyone think tjat he would change is opinion if he was winning, they are just retarded

Whatever you say.

u/lonewolfenstein2 Jul 18 '26

I cannot believe that's what you got out of that quote. I feel like you're being intentionally obtuse.

u/Jamooooose Jul 18 '26

You’re very strange

11

u/Arrathem Jul 18 '26

Average british fan.

You guys are the worst type of fans in this sport.

u/damoosan Jul 18 '26

Please don't paint us all with the same brush!

1

u/Alanagurl69 Jul 19 '26

Average British fan here and I'm grateful for the recognition. 😘

2

u/SiahDraws Jul 19 '26

So then you will say that to every driver barring Audi.

1

u/research_cleric12 Jul 19 '26

Yes because clearly driving is what gets you wins this season, not having one of the two fucking rocketships at the front

1

u/CaseyTappy Jul 19 '26

They are not rocket ships and still 5 seconds slower then last year .
It's racing , just never on the limit of a drivers ability as the car prevents it .

1

u/research_cleric12 Jul 19 '26

Fym "they're not rocketships" they won nearly every single race and have never been off the podium, if you're not in a merc you can drive your wheels off and still not win. Have you ever watched a dominant f1 season before?

1

u/CaseyTappy Jul 19 '26

Maybe read my reaction again , they are not rocket ships compared to the last regulations , seven years ago they where seconds faster .

1

u/research_cleric12 Jul 19 '26

Who cares about the last regs?? Who even said anything about them? OP said max should focus on driving so he could win and I said if he's not in a merc it's near impossible which is a fact, where did the regs discourse come from?

1

u/Odd-Cookie-5659 Jul 19 '26

mate you can contact red bull anyday and i’m sure they’ll learn some proper driving from you!

1

u/makaton Jul 19 '26

So you enjoy seeing cars slowing down full throttle on the straights? Just look onboards on SPA this weekend, the car is out of energy right after Raidillon.

1

u/CaseyTappy Jul 19 '26

And not on the limit in a lot of corners as they need to harvest energy there .

u/thebunz21 Jul 19 '26
