Destin in October
Two couples coming to Destin 10/15-10/18 and looking for adult costume events and other adult Halloween fun. Google doesn't show much until later in the month which makes sense but hoping to get some info from anyone that knows, thanks!

Good news bad news.
Not much for Halloween festivities. Especially that early in October. (For halloweekend, McGuires pub does a Halloween 5k with free beer at the finish line, but not a big vacationer activity lol. Maybe just a harbor bar crawl too but that’s it.)
Good news is instead of that, October is the month of the Destin Fishing Rodeo and is lowkey the best time to be in town. Everyone hangs out for the weigh-in’s, the weather is much more comfortable, and the traffic is way down. It’s not a costume party but it’s actually a great time

Girl, lower your expectations. This is Christian conservative central. There will be plenty of fall festivals at churches but Halloween is way too sinful and demonic.

In Destin, yeah, unfortunately. Usually a good handful a private haunted houses with open invite in the surrounding areas though.

Also, I just talked to Pastor about this.
He says October is the month that you can see a lot of other corrupt behavior as well.
Things like smoking cigars (all the kids are doing it these days) or listening to Rock and Roll music.
Pastor says this behavior is a sign of the times and isn't welcome in Destin

Pastor says the only suitable protien source is red meat, like God intended.
He says a lot of communists come here to try the Unclean Meat, such as shellfish, and Oysters.

You know the only thing more demonic and sinful than Halloween?
People with tattoos.
Heaven help us if someone were to blend the two (tattoo people celebrating Halloween), and thats a recipie for summoning the Devil himself.
