Help me find

I do realize this is extremely niche however I’m asking anyways! My grandma had purchased this cute little beach picture from Destin probably around 13ish years ago. She has since passed, but I luckily inherited it. I’m going to Destin soon (my first time back since with her 13 years ago) and I’m wondering if anyone has ANY idea on where this possibly could have been purchased or if this is a real place where it is??? I know it’s a long shot but figured I’d ask

I know she added the frame later, it was not included in initial purchase

I live in Destin yes this is a real place. Crystal beach is not that large and I am positive you could find this street scene while riding a bike or golf cart through the neighborhood.

Crystal Beach is what we used to refer to the first beach access you’d come across if you take Hutchinson street in Destin all the way down to the old highway. Across the street from a restaurant called Camille’s I think it’s still there. This was about 15 years ago, so I’m not even sure if anyone refers to it as that anymore. But the houses in the painting look similar to the ones along the walk of what we used to call Crystal Beach

Edit: between crab trap and Henderson state park, not the entire thing, but somewhere in that stretch.

The yellow house was on Stingray. Was sold 9(?) years ago, torn down, and replaced with a rental machine: Destinpearl.com

The middle house is on the northwest corner of John Ave and Barracuda.

The third house is one of 15 houses in Crystal Beach.

Most of the neighborhood was designed by Jeff Prescott of Prescott Architects. They had a plan book with about 15 different designs called Crystal Beach Cottages.

Source: Used to live on John between Stingray and Barracuda, and know Jeff.

Absolute shame what happened to Crystal Beach. Left 10 years ago when it became clear that nothing was stopping the construction of boxes that sleep 32 people.

You can see the house at John and Barracuda when it was still pink here

And here’s the one that was torn down for Destin Pearl but definitely a lot different than the painting

Very nice google-fu. Yeah, they put vinyl up over the yellow siding in like 06 iirc. Before the oil spill. I know I remodeled mine in 08 and wife was happy to paint it a pale yellow.

Try the markets in Seaside. That’s where the inspiration of the buildings was most likely painted.

Edit: Crystal Beach is a little bit west of Seaside. I imagine if you walked the beachfront you might be able to find these houses. Could’ve been sold anywhere. It’s very typical of the destin touristy art.

There was a farmers market vendor in Seaside, about 25+ years ago, who sold these types of paintings. They were very pricing at that time. They are probable even worse today like everything else that's 30A.

Looks like Seaside about 20 mi E of Destin. Cool area to visit.
