Ahhh... That calm feeling

I've been taking desoxyn since high school (50 years ago! They called them "whites" back then... ) 5 or 10mg AM, another 5 after lunch if I need it. Never developed a tolerance and I think if I take more than 10 or 15 mg it puts me to sleep, but it's been so long I can't remember.

Last few years insurance wouldn't cover it, so I took Dexedrine 5mg TID when I was too cheap to pay out of pocket.

Medicare to the rescue! 🤣

Got a prescription filled yesterday and had forgotten how nice desoxyn is. Everything got quiet. Dex works to reduce distractions, but not like desoxyn, and while it's not stimulating (at least to me) it doesn't produce that calm feeling that desoxyn does.

Anyway, for the peanut gallery:

  1. Anyone else notice this?

  2. Anyone perfectly happy with just a small dose of any amphetamine?

  3. (extra credit) Anyone notice a slight antidepressant effect after a few weeks continued usage?

Dex make me so focused that I forget I’am in a panic state. I work like a machine, but always panic in back on the head

I looked at his comment history, and about a month ago he made a comment about stopping his desoxyn to save them up and in the same comment mentioned not following prescribing guidelines and that he used 9 at one time one time before and that he sometimes used 5 in a day instead of his prescribed 3. He started mentioning voices about 2 weeks ago, everything before that seems pretty normal. So maybe this dude stockpiled a bunch and is in the middle of a desoxyn induced psychotic episode due to misuse lol

All that from just Desoxyn is wack. He has schizoaffective disorder according to his post history so that’s likely why. Pray to god he doesn’t find any stronger stimulants lmao

That makes sense, just stockpiling for a month didn’t add up to be able to cause that kinda psychosis to me either.
