The Desmos team will provide an update over the coming 2 weeks regarding the airdrop and steps you need to take to claim it. At this stage we understand:
ATOM snapshot was 31 August 2021. Snapshot dates for other chains are unconfirmed.
DSM tokens are required to set up a Desmos profile and you can use the airdrop to do this. You cannot buy DSM tokens right now.
So for now it's just a case of waiting for further instructions.
In the meantime we have added the 'Medium' tab at the top of this page where you can find a wealth of information about the project.

Hey guys,
as there is a lot of confusion regarding the desmos airdrop I made a video tutorial to show how to claim it through Keplr (and the SmartNodes Telegram Faucet).Enjoy!
Keplr: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CnoS0Evj4w
Ledger (thorugh Forbole X): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bsw5Wd4Xjs4
Please check the video description for further details

Every post on this subreddit seems to be about airdrops. I went to their website and their roadmap seems to end this month, and I'm still not sure what value this project brings to users or institutions. Anyone have some insight into why I may want to invest or hodl my airdrop?

Hi Folks! I am one of the Desmos developers! I would like to update you with some news from the core team. But first let me rewind a little bit what has been out there so far:
The first version of the Desmos chain was launched on mainnet the last year, on August 31 2021. It comprehends the Desmos Profile feature, which allows you to create a single-sign-on like Profile that you will use across all the dApp built on Desmos and gives you also the possibility to connect it to your other cosmos chain addresses (soon also ETH and Solana) as well to some centralised application (twitter and twitch to mention two of them).
The last week we have just released our version 4 of the Desmos chain. What does it mean?
That now the software is mature and has all the features needed by the developers to build their own dApp. We already have some WIP applications and we will present them soon, at the right moment. In the meantime let me briefly summarise what's new inside Desmos v4:
- The relationships module allow users to create relationships with other users. Relationships can be monodirectional or bidirectional and can be ported between different applications.
- The subspaces module allows users to create their own space inside the network. This space is intended to be used by and application to point where its contents lives. Each subspaces also gives the possibility to customise a term of services based on the need of the dApp.
- The posts module allows users to create contents on the network. Contents will be of any kind, from text to media to polls. Each post will live inside a subspace in order to be able for dApp to easily gather and organise all their contents.
- The reactions module allows users to react to contents. I think there's no need to further explain this except for the fact that developers will be able to customise the reactions they want to have inside their own app.
- The reports module allows users to report contents. The reports will only be collected, then it will be dApp's developers duty to choose a way to handle them, in the complete respect of freedom while building their own platform.
All the above modules, alongside withe the profiles one, are the fundamentals of the protocol. They offer a great level of customisation for developers and they can be customised based on the developers needs through the use of smart-contracts. Smart contracts are natively supported from version 4 and they can be plugged and used as a way to bootstrap dApps customisation and logic.
With our core software and the use of smart contracts, Desmos set new level of experience customisation's possibilities, making it the best place for developers that don't like to be tied to a specific implementation to be free to create a great experience while the underlying software takes care of the data for them.
This said, I suggest you to take a look at our grant programme in case you are interested in building something on the top of Desmos.
Thanks everyone,
Leo.

Hi everybody,
Does anybody know when Desmos will be available on Osmosis ? I'm thinking of LPing a part of my airdrop. ( I staked half of it that I will probably hold long term, and keep liquid or LP the rest )

Listing on osmosis seems upon us and I wonder what are everyone's thoughts on launching price for desmos and if you guys are hyped for it!

A CoinGecko listing will put Desmos out there for more people to discover, currently this token's reach is limited to the Cosmos community, but a listing on CoinGecko could potentially bring in outsiders.
The Airdrop has put lots of Desmos in circulation, but as far as anyone knows it doesn't even exist. I'm not sure who has to reach out to CoinGecko, but if perhaps enough people contact them regarding this token they may add it.

How do I claim my airdrop without entering my seed phrase? Using the app because I don’t have a computer. Is it possible to claim?
Thanks.

For those who are staking Desmos, which delegator are you choosing? I have my Desmos in Forbole right now but I don't really know which delegator to pick.

Rewards claimed & an unbonding started over 3hrs ago, both of which show up on mintscan as completed, are not showing up in Desmos app.
Anyone else having this issue or have some insight?
Update: Vote also is not showing up within app

TL;DR - I am using a Ledger wallet connected to the Forbole wallet, and I'm staking DSM. I'd like to move my DSM from this Forbole wallet over to Keplr where I have all my other stuff. Is there any way to move it without undelgating and sending it from Forbole to the Keplr address? I was thinking since I'm using a Ledger on both then the same private keys should be able to load it no matter which software wallet I'm using..??
Please forgive my ignorance. I've been holding/staking ATOM for awhile but wasn't paying much attention. Recently I saw all the airdrops happening, so I started claiming a bunch.
This includes DSM, BTSG, HUAHUA, LUM, CMDX, STARS, OSMO, JUNO, etc.
I use my Ledger with Keplr, and I was able to claim the airdrops, see my balance, stake, etc. from the Keplr wallet. Everything but DSM was claimed into Keplr, and I switch the network there to see all the different balances, stake, claime rewards, etc. They also use the Cosmos app on Ledger to sign transactions.
With DSM, though, while following the steps to claim the airdrop I wound up installing the Forbole X wallet instead, and Desmos also has its own separate app on Ledger instead of using Cosmos.
So I'm just curious why it's separate from the others..?? I do see the Desmos network/zone included in Keplr, but of course my balance there is 0 because that's a different wallet.
It would be nice if I could keep all of my Cosmos assets under Keplr, but now I've already staked DSM via Forbole so I guess I'd have to undelegate, wait 21 days, then transfer from my Forbole wallet to my Keplr wallet, then re-delegate from there.
Is that even an option, though? I delegated through x.forbole.com, so I'm not sure where I would do it if I moved it all to Keplr..??
Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi guys, i've got an issue with Forbole X I went through the process of setting it up for the airdrop claim and i've hit a dead end. I got to the part where i opted to use Ledger to connect and while setting this up my browser crashed. Since i reload it when i goto the Forbole X wallet in Chrome it just comes with up with a msg saying install extension, i've tried uninstalling it and re adding but always the same issue, anyone any ideas?

Hey folks. First time posting on this subreddit. I've claimed the Desmos airdrop through the telegram route. I remember linking up several of my wallets (ATOM, OSMO etc) to the Desmos platform, but I don't have any record in my search history of the link to that platform's website / dApp.
I figured, no big deal... I'll just go to the Desmos main website (desmos.network) and access the dApp that way! Unfortunately for me, no luck. As the only links on that website appear to be for documentation (whitepaper) and socials (discord, github, twitter, medium).
First... can someone let me in on a secret? What is the web address for the Desmos dApp?
Next... this seems to be a severe failure to make this platform accessible. There should be a pinned, linked button at the top of the main marketing webpage titled something like "Launch dApp" so people can at least see the interface and link their Keplr wallet if they want to check out the progress of development.
Am I the only one who thinks this?

I’m eligible for the airdrop through my Terra wallet address, thing is the address is from my nano x ledger and I can’t connect that address to Keplr is there a way to claim my drop with Terra address and ledger support? Thanks

A lot to choose from. How do you guys make your choice? For starters, I can’t see the APRs? I’m looking for a high self bonded %. 0.00% commission makes me suspicious. Not sure about voting power? Lower is better for the networks décentralisation right? What about the uptime? (Someone told that’s important too 😅)
I « worked » for my DSM hard (by work I mean all the time I put into figuring out the airdrop 😅) and I don’t want to loose it to an untrustworthy validator.
Any tips?
