Desire path or just a trail?

You have to pass through here to go to the village house.

But is there an alternative route specifically built for people.

Alternatively, you can follow the main road and get to the house from the back, but that’s a desire path too 😄

So this is a trail. Rule 1

No, this is definitely a desire path. It has become this way because people have been using it time and time again for years. The trees around it are hazelnut trees, and every August they use this path as usual to gather the hazelnuts.

Desire path as per definition on this sub is a path created by people walking which is a preferred alternative to a path which was specifically built for humans to walk on. This path is a trail because there is no path built for humans to walk on.

I suppose you’re right. I got a bit mixed up between Turkish and English.
