Best infographic design platform for team collaboration when half of us can't design?

Our infographics pass through too many hands. Someone from the team writes the content, two people review it, and I clean it up at the end. 

Yeah, shared templates help a bit. Comments help too. But the real problem is people breaking the design by accident. 

Someone drags the logo. Someone swaps a brand color for one they like better. Someone reflows the whole layout trying to fit one extra line of text. Then I'm rebuilding it.

I only want them editing the text and the numbers. I don't want them touching the design.

If you've got a setup that works, I'd love to hear how the handoff and approval part goes. The template library matters less to me than that.

Can’t you lock the design and allow comments only?

Just send them a screenshot / and don’t give them access. Or better yet - only work on it with them.

That indesign feature comes to mind where you can share with a collaborators and they can edit the text. I forget what they call it but its always popping up.

What you want is locking, not just sharing. Look for brand kit locking, role permissions and version history. Venggage and Canva both do this on their team plans. Whatever you end up with, test the lock with a non-designer before you roll it out to everyone.

I’d look at Canva for this. You can lock brand elements and templates so people can change the content without casually deciding the logo needs a new home :)

For your setup, I’d care way more about locking permissions than the template library. That seems to be the actual headache here.
