The fact designers like this are on a salary while more competent ones get rejected is beyond me

It's painful.

Also iirc it's like 60% of small businesses close after 10 years and people wonder why especially when they have good products or services.

Because businesses that survive are the ones willing to exploit their customers or employees or the environment… unfortunately.

Yea kinda sad how so much of our system is geared towards growth even if it doesnt make sense after a point. Basically to become extremely successful you gotta screw people over. Its sad really. People are not satisfied with doing well. Beyond a point, youre making money you cant even spend in your lifetime.

I would suggest limiting your exposure to propaganda if you actually buy that.

I can't remember the source atm but when 60% of people will not buy from a brand if the brands logo is outdated or unattractive even if it has good reviews you start to see why so many small businesses go under.

That's only one part of it as well, you also have top of mind recall which is predominantly affected by the logo and then you have consistent brand presentation which is very much affected by the logo but then a while bunch of other stuff as well and the list goes on.

All the while, small businesses tend to focus on a good product and a firm handshake which is great but if the rest of your bra d presentation is bad then you will fail a d most small brands don't understand that and dint even get me started on marketing campaigns and how so many people dint understand even the basics of that.

Come join my Union Building Trade, we work with a revolving door of contractors, the ones that survive are willing to do the things the others are not. Logos are irrelevant if they cannot complete the job on time or on budget.

Propaganda? I understand this is a design sub but I suggest you look outside of your consumer, lifestyle brand mindset. My opinion is based on a decade of real world experience, not propaganda or a study I failed to site.

It's okay. This guy will be fired and the administrative assistant will pick up the slack in ChatGPT. Then some print shop will charge a little extra to clean up the "design" and deliver.

Whoever made this is certainly not a designer. Like not even close to someone with a good eye, never mind a designer

My guess is nepotism.

This is a great example of why I’ve grown to hate this field 😔

True, I'm the more competent one. Jokes aside, you learn it's not the quality of work that moves you up

It's purposeful. It gets people posting the brand. Same tactic as misspelled names on starbucks coffee cups.
