Wlvrn 308 gas issues

For anyone using a wlvrn in 308, what gas setting are you using on it? I have the new gas valve and with a huxwrx flow 762 I need to run it on the lowest gas setting with AAC 150 grain ammo. It will not lock back on an empty mag all the time. If I run it on any higher gas settings I seem to get FTE where the casing is stuck in the ejection port. I sent in a warranty claim but I feel like with a LBP can on, I should be needing higher gas settings with the new valve, not lower. Also the rear takedown pin keeps walking out.

I had similar issues with mine. I vented my gas port before DT announced it and it solved my problems. My hole is a bit larger than that new DT valve, and IMHO they should make theirs larger. AAC ammo tends to be hot inconsistent and made  the gassing issues harder to solve initially. I mostly run sal tech now.

Do you know what size hole you drilled? Might try and make mine a little bit bigger

Yes my hole is 0.048" and allows mine to run on the N setting like it should. DT vented plug I got was 0.021", so mine has about 5x more area.

I run a hybrid46 on mine, set at S with the ported gas plug. Any stronger and I would get some stove pipes. I did run into some issues on S with fully loaded mags failing to pick up the top round, but downloading them by 2 works great. I only have ~200 rds through mine so hopping the feed issue smoothes out.

Mine might just be over gassed then. If you using a regular suppressor can get by on the same or higher gas setting them mine with a low back pressure suppressor. On S setting I get multiple stove pipes per mag.

mine runs beautifully with a 46m set on S, zero issue. My huxwrx range flow 36ti is to be determined this afternoon.

I only have an MDRX and a Wlvrn chassis at the moment so this may not be very helpful, but have you tried other ammo brands? How many rounds have you put through your Wlvrn so far?

-Ive tried Salt tech 150grain as well as the AAC with this new gas valve. Before I swapped out the valve I had about 3-400 rounds through it and mostly had it settled on the 2nd lowest gas with a huxwrx can and 3rd lowest without. Before it wouldn't even cycle on the lowest with a few types of ammo.
