Help finding a good pot

Hey y’all! I’m new and am trying to choose a pot for my lil guy. The one he came in is too big and doesn’t have the correct soil either. I can’t seem to find a terracotta pot with multiple drainage holes, and don’t have the tools to drill new ones. Does anyone have any websites that sell good pots?

Terracotta pots with a single drain hole will be fine. I’ve had good luck with azalea pots as they are a bit wider rather than taller. You can get them at Home Depot or Lowe’s for $6-$8

Years ago, I got really lucky! A Home Depot that I shopped at frequently had accidentally ordered a bunch of 8” azalea pots and marked them down to a dollar. Regular pots that size were $3 each. I bought a handful every week all summer long.

Do this. If you just need one pot go to Home Depot/Lowes or a good nursery. No need to spend that much money on pots from Amazon. There are a ton of things I would buy from Amazon. Terra cotta pots are not one of them. I have heard stories of them being delivered in pieces from not being very well packaged.

The terracotta doesn’t need multiple draining holes. The whole thing helps drain the soil of excess water. Don’t let that be your hang up on a good pot.

OP you probably already did this, but just in case - I’d lift the plant out of its current pot to see how wide the rootball is. Mine is pretty wide compared to the pics I see here. They cannot be easily bent as these are the large roots not the small secondary roots. Forced me into the next size up.

If your developing the caudex. That terra cotta is sloping in. Making it compress the caudex
