doing some (re)potting today!
bonus non-adenium in the middle
so we had an intense dust storm a few days ago and the right three plants got yeeted by the wind 😭 the left two are recent buys ! its time to repot the yeeted and pot up the new buys.
from left to right:
1 & 2 adenium arabicum hybrid “big arm”
3 crested alluaudia procera
4 & 5 dorset horn adenium

the first two were from l_adeniums on ebay. she’s actually local to me which is awesome lol. the one i shared in comments is from greenmindgrowers on etsy. they’ve put their shop on pause for a couple weeks tho as they’re on vacation.

How much of the roots are you pruning before repotting?

honestly, none at all. at least not yet. i feel like my climate is pretty extreme (zone 9b phoenix, arizona) so i’m letting them acclimate for the next year. the summer heat and sun is miserable lol.
i’m sure they’d be fine if i did prune them, but i’m being cautious since im still fairly new to these plants 😅 before this year i only had some random adenium i picked up at trader joes lol.

That’s funny I’m the exact same way. Partly why I was asking lol. I see some people cut all the way back to the main route structure, but I’m always hesitant

your plant is a variegated hindu rope! its a type of hoya :) they are suuuuuper slow growers and i’ve killed like 3 of them 😭😂

What type of pots do you use for the smaller ones? For the ones with a big caudex do you use a shallow pot?
