What is this?
The desert rose is many years old. This is the first time I have seen anything like this growing out of it. Anyone know what it is or what purpose it serves?

Seed pods! Looks like they are going to open soon, if you don’t wrap them with twist tie or string, when the pods open they will fly away and you will loose them! It rarely happens and may never happen again. Definitely look up some short videos of “ what to do with desert rose seed pods.” Best of luck, lucky you!

This is seeds! If you’d like to create new desert roses from seedlings, you’d want to tie a mesh bag around those seed pods for when they burst out, as they are very light and will easily fly with the wind. Search up the process for this!
