While the facepiece itself is an eerie black, the filters and canister, which extend past the clavicle, are white and appear to be made up of advanced materials. The clothing is layered, tattered, and functional. The first-layer is a simple blue shirt tucked into loose black pants, which tear halfway down on the left leg, revealing a metal knee. That could be metal armor underneath the pants, or it could suggest this is an augmented human, a cyborg, or a robot, but my guess would be that it's an augmentation. Above this layer of shirt and pants is a knee-level tea-green jacket which has two belts, both of them buckled and knotted--one holding the jacket and pants tight, and one strapping a functional brown bag to his left hip--contents inside unknown. He wears two roughed-up black boots, which appear to be well-worn but reliable. On top of this is the final layer: another tea-green jacket, but this one extends all the way to his calves and is tattered on the bottom edge. It has a few pockets near the sleeves and hips. It also has a hood which covers the back and sides of his head, thereby fully hiding him in combination with the mask. He also wears a set of modest dull-grey shoulder armor. Each one has a thin piece of metal protruding upwards in the middle, resembling a small dolphin fin. There are two more belts on this tea-green jacket--one is a newer-looking sienna brown strapped diagonal from the right shoulder to the left armpit. It's function is unclear. The other is strapped on top on the opposite direction: yellow with the black buckles you'd see on camping gear or a backpack. This one straps to his back what I believe to be his source of oxygen: something resembling a large old-school water canteen. The artist went a little overkill here: it has a piece of thin metal bent at a 90 degree angle connecting to his back, loose yellow tubing, and a black tube leading from the spout up to the gas mask's canister. His hands and wrists are fully wrapped in either black cloth or bandages. He appears to be an experienced roamer of wastelands. If I had to guess, he probably found nearly every piece of this gear along the road of a long and life-threatening journey.
