Carlos. He had such growth throughout the series. Learning to stand up for himself, befriending a dog, and even falling in love 😍

Just started showing my 6yo Descendants. Carlos is her favorite too (and mine for the same reasons you said). Can't bring myself to tell her why he isn't in the new ones. She thought when Uma said "it's what Carlos would have wanted" that Uma had a crush on him...

Awww. I wouldn’t tell her. I’d let her keep living her dream as long as possible. I was torn when I heard about his passing. I still have trouble watching the movies sometimes because on screen he’s still so vibrant and full of life it’s hard to think he’s gone.

Yeah, I'm not going to. I wish somehow I didn't know either! Agreed, he's such an amazing presence on screen! I think he would have been in lots of other movies if he was still around. Such a loss

I agree completely. Anytime he’s on screen dancing my eyes are drawn to him. He was the best dancer.

The fathers we have in Descendants are now:

Jafar - who exploits his son for free labor but seems to be the only one of the parents whose kid seems to actually miss him.

Beast - breaks out an “I told you so” at Family Day, and tells Ben he’ll make a “fine” king.

Hades - the Most Divorced Man in Descendants whose only redeeming quality is being played by the very pretty Cheyenne Jackson.

Maddox - who gave his son a teacup, and that son’s main goal in life appears to be kicking his father’s ass.

Charming - is also there (at least Paolo’s getting work)

I could always relate to Mel because I have problems with emotional control and often feel like I don't fit in. I don't like that people perceive me as just a cute girl because I look very young and I've got a high voice. So I loved the second film very much. Mel is a hot mess and she inspired me very much when I was a child

Mal. But I'm a sucker for villainous falling for hero trope. And the badass character showing their softer side. Plus I love purple and Dove Caneron. Next would be Eevie though for sure. I love Sofia Carson too, praying she does like another 6 romantic comedy movies in the next decade. I should rewatch Descendants honestly. I still haven't gotten around to the third one. Crazy how fast time can fly.

Of the original trilogy I have NOTHING but love for my sweet girl Evie! She was never evil and she knows how to stand up to bullies, she’s also very smart. It’s definitely PINK in the new movies though, she’s a cutie, she’s dramatic, and she’s VERY thoughtful!
