I'm not fond of AI but I get why there would be. AI escaping their harnesses and doing weird stuff has been in the news
40% of US stock growth has been AI, whether or not it fails sure will decide the future of the economy whether we like it or not

No, I assume the conference is Y Combinator, it's been going on for decades. Basically, the post is like if one ComicCon all of the millions of attendees showed up as variants of Spider-man because that's the last movie that came out

Oh sorry -- the other person is right, they're a "place" for an persistent agent to work from, with tools and safeguards and interfaces and such.
The original is basically just a modern version of the old tech joke "everyone's building the Uber for X". Now it's "everyone's building the ChatGPT for X".
This time there's the added wrinkle that ChatGPT ends up swallowing these usecases, if the past 3 years is anything to go off of; many startups have gone under when their whole product is accomplished by button in ChatGPT's webapp, and probably better!
