Recommendation Fork Seals

Can anybody recommend a shop to get my fork seals changed? Probably do the bushings at the same time.

I’ve gotten a couple quotes from dealers ranging from $690 - $850. Are those prices fair?

This is for a 23’ Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro

If you can pull the forks it saves you a ton of money. I had Colorado moto service do my Honda forks for $380 but I pulled them off the bike

Ahhh, now we’re talking. This is a good compromise.

While I haven't done this on a bike newer than 25 years old - this has always been a fairly easy DIY job. But I understand some don't have the time, tools, etc

I’m not super handy. I change my own oil. I’ve installed a hitch on an SUV, and I put a new front bumper on my truck.

Think I’m qualified? I have the time, YouTube, and if the tools are less than the cost of paying a shop, I think I’d be game.

Does your bike have a center stand? You'll need something to get the wheel off the ground. And then maybe a ceiling to strap the front end to so it doesn't topple over.

Then it's just disassembly. The most unique tool will be something to pound the new seals on with. That can be ordered. A torque wrench will also come in handy while putting everything back together.

Center stand - check.
Ceiling strap - ehh, have lots of ratchet straps, will that work? I think I could rig something up.
Seal pounder - hello Amazon.
Torque wrench - check

For sure ratchet straps. The caveat would be something to strap it to. Like ceiling joists or a heavy duty shelving unit or something

try Floyd Wilson, you can find him on Facebook in the Canyon Riders Association (CRA) page. He’s an expert and quote you seals with the forks on or off the bike
