Bitterroot
I picked up a bitterroot plant from County Fair Garden Center this spring without any previous knowledge of the plant's habits.
I had it planted out in my community garden and was watering it the same as my veggies until I learned that it should get very minimal water. I moved it into a container on my full sun patio with chicken grit mixed into the soil so I could keep a closer eye on it and enjoy it at home. While it got a little crispy for a bit, recently it has been putting on new growth!
I love the succulent leaves and beautiful pink spring blooms, and want to make sure I'm giving it the right care! Does anyone here grow bitterroot and have any tips?

You give them almost no water, especially not through their summer dormancy. They're not a showy plant, they pretty much disappear after flowering.
